November 05 3rd Week

November 14, 2005 5:52 pm

First of all, I’m sure you’re glad I didn’t slap your head the past
3 weeks with the Marketing Main Event. ;)
Although it’s was a *great* offer (yes, was, it just ended),
I decided to not “spam” you with it.

But I have good news for those who didn’t purchase this membership:
I will add the products in the Treasure Vault, including resale rights!
(providing the product’s individual licence allows it)

The web is a very vast place.
Yeah I know, but it is easy to get lost in this
intricate “web” of networks, what with the sheer size of
the virtual world.

As an internet marketer, this can be an advantage or a
disadvantage, depending on your skills, your needs, and his
smarts.

Some marketers would take the vastness of cyberspace as an
advantage, given the size of their market and how many
people they could potentially reach.

Some internet marketers, on the other hand, would view
this as a negative, as it would be quite difficult to
target quality prospects with laser-like precision,
considering the immensity of the virtual world.

If there was some form of early warning device, there is
no doubt that we would be able to navigate the waters of
cyberspace with more efficiency and speed.

Thankfully, there is one tactic that not a lot of people
know about. With this very simple tool, an entire world of
promotional possibilities can be opened up for you to
exploit.

I am talking about Google’s News Alert, a service that
allows you to receive news items from a variety of sources
that Google’s search spiders index. To get more detail on
how this works, you can visit the official website at
www.news.google.com

Google News Alerts is very easy to use. Just follow these
steps:

1. Sign up for the service.

2. Choose some keywords that are pertinent to the subject
of your chosen niches.

3. Wait for the service’s email notifications.

Thereafter, you will receive a notice whenever a news item
appears on the web that contains the keywords of your
choice. You won’t have to do manual searches anymore.
Everything is be delivered to your inbox. This is a
convenient option for those people who are fond of
researching on certain matters relevant to their industry.

But how could this be used for marketing purposes, you
might ask?

Well, Google News Alerts is just a tool. You would need to
give it a twist with a little imagination, and you’d
realize the power it really wields.

The fact is, Google News Alerts is one of the most potent
advertising tactics today. Let’s take a look at the many
applications of this amazing tool:

* Scout the competition…

You would be able to keep abreast of any new moves they’ll
be making. Google News Alerts would act as your spy and
chronicler, a digital secretary of sorts even, to record
the advancements your competitors are making or when they
are release new information.

This would allow you to unleash some counteractions to
protect your position.

* Keep abreast of the latest information…

You’d be able to maintain your competitive edge by being
acquainted with the latest advancements within you topic of
choice.

* Know exactly when new articles are released…

You would be able to determine when a news writer releases
an article or information on your topic. You could
thereafter establish contact with him or her for further
promotional ventures.

In the same light, you could also determine when an
article or a piece about your competitors is released. You
could then establish contact with the writer and approach
them to write about your business next time they write a
similar piece.

* Monitor latest market trends…

You could keep tabs on the lastest trends and make
corresponding adjustments to your marketing strategies to
reflect any pattern to consumer behavior.

* Monitor your own business…

You can even monitor your own website by including your
URL as the keyword so that you know exactly when any new
pages on your site gets indexed etc.

Google News Alerts is one of those tools that has yet to
be fully exploited by marketers the world over. It would
serve you well if you could capitalize on it ahead of the
rest. It would give you the edge you need in this highly
competitive business.

I recently found this great online tool:

http://www.indexingtracker.com/keyword-character-stripper.php

This is perfect for stripping unusual characters or
removing “double-ups” from your keywords before before you
place them in your campaigns. It’s also a great timesave
for creating text hyperlinks!

Effective Pre-Selling Techniques!

Pop quiz: Name the fastest way to online success?

If your answer is product creation, then you would have to
reconsider the time and effort needed to come up with
merchandise that would sell.

If your answer is telecommuting, then you would have to
remember that such is almost tantamount to being an
employee and working for a boss, albeit, in the comforts of
your own home.

The answer is quite clear. The fastest way to online
success is something that does not require an onerous
financial investment, if ever such is demanded which is
rare, and something that does not entail product
conceptualization and execution.

It does not even require other obligations like the
retention of a payment processor or the installation of a
digital delivery service.

Affiliate programs have long been hailed as the easiest
and speediest way to earn a fortune online, and for good
reasons!

You won’t have to build your own products and test-drive
them to death. You’d have an entire inventory of proven
products to choose from!

You won’t have to come up with a digital store that would
process payments from a variety of payment solution options
in the world wide web. This would be provided for as well.

You won’t have to hire an expensive copywriter to prepare
a sales page for you. One would be provided, with a proven
conversion rate at that.

What’s best is that you won’t be limited to only one
affiliate program to join. You could enroll in as many
affiliate programs you want! The more programs you join,
the better your chances are of earning a lot!

Affiliate programs, of course, are agreements between an
affiliate merchant and an affiliate, which would be you,
for the latter to pre-sell the products of the former.

For every successful sale that the affiliate would refer
to the affiliate merchant, the affiliate stands to earn a
commission. Not just piecemeal commissions, mind you. But
generous commission in the range of 20% to 95%!
(like TurboMembership)

The keyword in affiliate programs is pre-selling.

Pre-selling is very much different from actual selling.
You won’t to concern yourself with the usual demands of
actually distributing a product for profit. All you have to
do is to market the affiliate merchant’s products and drive
people to affiliate merchant’s sales page.

Thereafter, the affiliate merchant’s system would take
care of the rest, from accepting and processing payments,
to delivering the goods, to customer support.

So how do you effectively pre-sell an affiliate product?

You would be given an affiliate link for every product you
would choose to pre-sell. The trick is in displaying this
affiliate link in as many places in the world wide web as
possible, so that it would be exposed to many people.

Here are some proven strategies you could employ to drive
people to the affiliate merchant’s sales page en masse.
Hopefully, the probabilities are much higher when you
manage to generate referrals in droves.

* Article marketing. Write an article about a topic
related to the affiliate product you are pre-selling.
Include a resource box which contains your affiliate link.
Submit the article to as many article directories as you
could find.

A lot of people refer to these article directories for
information, and once they read your piece as well as your
resource box, you’re bound to win some referrals.

* Forum marketing. Join as many relevant forums as you
could find. With your membership in each of them, you’ll be
allotted a signature box where you could place your
affiliate link. Your signature box would appear in every
post that you would make.

Try to make informative posts instead of sales pitches, as
the former have been proven to perform better.

* Blogs. Blogs figure prominently in search engine page
results. Having your own blog would help your promote your
affiliate links. Simply pattern your entries as reviews or
informative pieces with suggestions, and strategically
place your affiliate links therein.

* Headquarters. Having your own website would help
centralize your promotional campaigns. You could have your
links displayed like products for sale, even though you’re
just pre-selling them.

All you have to do is to generate traffic for your website
through some marketing strategies and search engine
optimization (seo) techniques.

These are just some of the more popular ways of pre-
selling the affiliate merchant’s products.

But remember, there is always strength in numbers, so try
to drive as many people as possible to the affiliate
merchant’s sales page, and you will quite likely enjoy a
rewarding experience with affiliate programs.

This Week’s Trivia Answer
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

H’ere’s the answer to the trivia question I asked earlier…

What is the origin of the word “bikini”?

In 1947, the first swimsuit designed to reveal practically
everything went on sale. The makers had no idea what to
call it, but they noticed that males who saw it for the
first time reacted like it was an atomic bomb.

Scientists in 1946 had used the Marshall Islands for
atomic testing, and had moved 167 natives to Rongerik. Head
scientist William H.R. Blandy then used the Bikini atoll
for tests of the atomic bomb.

Comparing the impact of the new swimsuit with the world-
altering events in the Pacific, fashion experts called the
garment the bikini.

10-Minute Exercises with Big Results!

This is the second in a series where you will learn
how to make the most of your spare time to increase your
fitness and health.

Research has shown that short, intense exercise segments
throughout the day are just as effective as longer workouts
at burning calories, increasing cardio endurance and
lowering blood pressure and cholesterol.

Even as little as five minutes can go a long way towards
balancing hormones in the body and making you a happier
person - is that great or what? You no longer have to worry
about finding a large block of free time to work out; just
take a coffee break and in five minutes you can feel
totally rejuvenated.

One of the greatest things about shorter workouts is that
they have tremendous potential to reshape your body with a
minimum time commitment. Incorporating strength training
exercises into your daily schedule is a powerful tool for
both heart health and muscle strength.

Spend five minutes doing lower body exercises and after
several weeks you can tell a difference. Spend ten minutes
on a power workout and results will show up in three weeks
or less.

Use the following ten-minute express workout on a regular
basis in conjunction the other Workouts you have learned
for a month and you will see remarkable changes in your
body’s strength.

You can do these workouts in your office with the door
closed or, if your office is a cubicle, in the restroom or
some other private area.

Express Workout 2: Hips and Thighs

Hips and thighs can be a frustrating area to shape up
especially for women. Thanks to the physiological design of
female bodies, fat tends to be stored in the thighs and
hips and can be very resistant to toning efforts. Perform
this routine three to four times weekly in conjunction with
aerobic exercise and your body will begin to reshape in six
to ten weeks.

Squats: Squats are performed by standing with feet about
shoulder-width apart and arms by sides. Keep strong posture

and slowly lower buttocks as though about to sit down in a
chair. Lower several inches and then slowly raise.

Pli’e: Adopted from ballet, a pli’e is performed by
standing with feet just wider than shoulder-width and toes
pointed outward. With a hand on a chair or wall for
balance, slowly drop body straight down for several inches
and then come back up.

To increase intensity, on the final pli’e, stay in a
lowered position and slowly pulse your body up and down
about an inch. This fatigues the muscle faster.

Lunges: Lunges are performed by standing with feet about
shoulder-width apart and hands on hips.

Stand tall and take a large step forward with one foot,
and remain in that position. Turn your back foot up until
balanced on the toes and then slowly lower your body until
your front knee forms a right angle. Slowly raise your body
back up. Repeat on each side.

Leg Stretches: Stand with feet about shoulder-width apart
and one hand holding a chair or wall for balance. Raise one
foot behind you and reach back with your hand, grab the
foot and gently pull it towards your buttocks. This
stretches the quadriceps muscle on the front of the leg.
Repeat with each leg.

For stretching the calf muscle, place one foot slightly in
front of you and point your toes up, balancing on the heel.
Keep your weight on the foot that is not being stretched.
Repeat on both sides.

All times are approximate.

0:01 - 1:00
Begin by walking briskly in place to warm up the muscles.
Warming the muscles makes them pliable and will allow you
to work longer.

1:01 - 3:00
Perform as many squats as possible in two minutes.

3:01 - 4:00
Rest for one minute.

4:01 - 6:00
Perform as many pli’e’s as possible in two minutes.

6:01 - 7:00
Rest for one minute.

7:01 - 9:00
Perform as many lunges (both legs) as possible in two
minutes.

9:01 - 10:00
Recovery and stretching.

Have a rest :-)

Next in the series of quick but beneficial workouts for
people “on the go” you will learn a 10-minute workout to
strengthen and/or tone your arms and shoulders.

Blogging - One Of The Fastest Growing Trends On The Internet

November 13, 2005 12:02 am

Within the span of a year, blogging has gone from being an
unknown word to a popular and effective way to reach out to
one’s subscribers and visitors and connect with them in
a more personal way.

A blog allows you to post your own thoughts, advice,
information, and more about your topic of interest.
Your subscribers and visitors can also post their
thoughts, comments, and questions to you via the blog.

This interaction will allow you to overcome the lack
of human contact on the Internet, enabling you to
establish relationships with your subscribers and
visitors, making them more likely to purchase your
offers.

Many internet marketers will post their articles and
newsletter issues to their blog so that you are sure
to read the information if the article and newsletter
emails don’t reach your inbox.

This also allows you to read their articles and
newsletter issues at your earliest convenience by
just visiting the blog.

It makes it easier for internet marketers to “blog”
rather than write a full newsletter or email because
they can provide information to their subscribers and
visitors quicker, which makes the information more
up-to-date.

The information can also be more relevant because the
internet marketer can find out what his/her subscribers
and visitors want to know more about without “guessing”
by just asking them and finding out almost instantly.

In fact, your blog can be a great place to do “research”
on what your subscribers and visitors want because it’s
quick to ask and find out and the cost is free!

To start your own blog, you need to choose a blog reader
that will allow you to create your own blog.

Here are two free blogging services:

www.blogspot.com

www.blogger.com

Using the software, set up the blog webpage and put
it on your server.

Once you have it set up, begin promoting the blog to
your subscribers and website visitors.

Encourage them to use it by posting questions, articles,
newsletter issues, and freebies and alerting them
of the additions.

Once they start using it, they may strike up their
own “conversations” about different internet marketing
topics. Your blog will start to take on a “life” of
its own.

With high-quality information, people will visit your
blog and even link their blogs and websites to it.

One link to another blog can transform into a network
of a thousand links. This can help boost your rankings
in the search engines, both for your blog and for your
website, which means more qualified traffic to your
website, resulting in more subscribers and sales!

November 05 2nd Week

Direct marketing’s a tough way to make a living, but if
you can master certain skills it can be extremely
lucrative. It takes on many different forms, some of which
are easily translatable to the web.

Although the term may bring to mind door to door salesmen
pushing their wares to housewives in robes and curlers, it
also has roots in print ads such as classifieds and space
ads and direct mail.

The internet has created a massive opportunity for the
skilled direct marketer to thrive without doing the
customary legwork and engaging in personal contact with
their prospects, basically expanding on the concept of
direct mail.

So what skills do you need to hone in order to succeed at
direct marketing?

The top priority of anyone interested in making money on
the internet should be their copywriting skills. This is
simply putting your sales message into words.

Since the face to face encounter has been eliminated you
need to be able to convey your pitch through the words on
the pages that your prospects are reading.

A great way to polish your copywriting skills, even if
you’ve never written a single word of ad copy before, is to
create a swipe file. This is just a file of already
successful ad campaigns.

Swipe files are incredibly useful tools. Every major
player in direct marketing keeps a swipe file and for good
reason. Everybody gets stuck for words and ideas at some
point. When this happens it’s good to have an example of
past successes to go to and freshen your creative juices
and get the words flowing again.

What should your file consist of?

You should gather any material that has spurred you to
action, whether its purpose was to get you to buy something
or just leave your name and email address. Copy the good
stuff and study it. Realize what was in the ad that made
you act on the offer.

Look for layout designs (bulleted lists are a big direct
marketing tactic), action words, headlines and sub heads.
You’ll notice certain words popping up along with questions
and statements that are all fairly alike but are tailored
to specific products and services.

That’s the key to a good swipe file. Gather a wide array
of different styles and mold the message to your particular
target audience. Study the material and write out many
different versions of the same ad. Practice your art and
perfect it.

A word of caution though. Never copy an ad word for word.
That’s plagiarism and it’s illegal. Use your swipe file as
an aid only, to sharpen your copywriting skills and make
you better at direct marketing :-)

How Blogs and RSS Can Boost Your Website’s Page Rank!

A few months into Internet marketing and you’ll get to
realize the importance of search engine optimization for
your online business. Search engine optimization, or SEO,
is a vital approach to have your website figure prominently
in search engine result pages for relevant queries.

In fact, 80% of the traffic you will be able to generate
for your website would come from search engines, hence the
value of tapping into the market that the said search
engines would provide.

A few months into search engine optimization and you’ll
get to realize the value of having your link appear in as
many places as possible in the World Wide Web. Your
website’s link would be a convenient way of directing web
users to your pages.

The number of links you have displaced all over the
virtual world is reflected through a statistic called your
link popularity. The higher your link popularity is, the
better chances you’ll have of driving more traffic for your
website and succeeding with your online business.

There are a lot of ways by which you could boost your link
popularity. A lot!

But one of the most potent strategies is the use of blogs
and RSS.

Blogs, or web logs as they are formally called, were
originally meant to serve as online journals for people to
share the events of their days and their thoughts about
different matters.

But with the powerful features attributed to blogs, it was
only a matter of time before Internet marketers discovered
their marketing potentials.

Today, blogs are powerful weapons used by online
businessmen to promote their commercial websites. Let’s
take a look at the reason behind this.

* Search engines love blogs. Try to run a search about any
subject, and chances are, you’ll find blogs dominating good
position in the result pages.

If you apply for a free blog account like www.blogger.com
which is owned by Google, undoubtedly the largest search
engine in the world with a 67.4% market share, you’ll
immediately see an undeniable connection that would favor
your needs if you do decide to avail of this service of
theirs.

* Blogs are accessible for a lot of people. Blogs are easy
to set up and use. Additionally, updating your blog would
be a simple task as well. All you have to do is to type
what you want to share and click on a button to publish.

And search engines love regularly updated content. With
blogs, you could achieve this without having to change your
source code.

* Blogs are free. Whether you decide to use a web account,
like the aforementioned www.blogger.com , or a movable type
program which you could upload on your own server under
your own domain name, like www.wordpress.com, blogs won’t
require any financial burden.

* Blogs have their own network. This interconnectivity
would allow you to reach a new audience which would get to
receive your business message.

The trick is to include your main website’s link in your
blog entries. These entries can be in the form of reviews,
news items, opinions and the likes. Instantly, you’d have a
high ranking website promoting a link to your main website,
and this would provide a big boost on the volume of traffic
for the latter.

Additionally, blogs can also generate RSS feeds from the
entries therein.

RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. It’s slowly
becoming the industry standard for message conveyance. By
2010, it is expected that 90% of Internet users would be
relying on RSS for their online communication needs.

Currently, RSS 2.0 technology is being used to deliver
highly compressed audio and video files. This means that
you could include the same for your website without
alienating users with slower connections.

RSS is a great marketing tool. When your visitors would
subscribe to your mailing list, you could send them RSS
feeds instead. Such would be delivered straight to their
desktop, in real time, hence eliminating the possibility of
your message being filtered as spam.

Also, RSS feeds can be displayed on your website, or
websites, in real time as well. This means that your
website, or websites, would be fed with ever-changing
content, hence, increasing their page rank for every
relevant search engine query.

With all these facts, it’s no wonder why blogs and RSS are
hailed as the greatest innovations in Internet marketing,
the recent years considered.

They are two of the most efficient ways of catapulting
your online business to the next level, as they could most
certainly boost the number of visitors that grace your
website, and consequently, the number of sales you’ll be
able to close.

This Week’s Trivia Answer
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

H’ere’s the answer to the trivia question I asked earlier…

Why is a Coca-Cola can red?

Answer: The following is from The Coca-Cola Company:

Almost from the beginning, the colors red and white have
been used in visual advertising for Coca-Cola to dramatize
the trademark. The earliest use of red in our advertising
was by Atlanta drug stores selling Coca-Cola.

They would hang a white oil cloth sign on the store front
or awning with slogans printed in red that stated “Drink
Coca-Cola, Delicious and Refreshing 5 cents” or “Coca-Cola
Sold Here 5 cents.”

In 1890, the trademark “Coca-Cola” began to appear in red
in newspapers. During the late 1920s, the trademark “Coca-
Cola” was used in white on a “Standard Red” background.

The color arrangement of red on white and white on red has
been used alternately over the years. In 1970, the Dynamic
Ribbon Device was introduced, and the “Standard Red” became
brighter.

10-Minute Exercises with Big Results!

Many busy professionals feel that working out isn’t worth
the time unless they can exercise for forty minutes or
longer and it’s true that many healthcare workers and
government agencies used to recommend that all adults get
thirty consecutive minutes of aerobic exercise per day.

But this is the twenty-first century and the fact of the
matter is that you don’t have to do all your exercise at
once to reap the health benefits.

Research has shown that short, intense exercise segments
throughout the day are just as effective as longer workouts
at burning calories, increasing cardio endurance and
lowering blood pressure and cholesterol.

Even as little as five minutes can go a long way towards
balancing hormones in the body and making you a happier

both heart health and muscle strength.

Spend five minutes doing lower body exercises and after

Use the following ten-minute express workout on a regular
basis for a month and you will see remarkable changes in
your body’s strength. You can do these workouts in your
office with the door closed or, if your office is a
cubicle, in the restroom or some other private area. Do
whatever is

Express Workout 1 - Abdominal Muscles

Having strong core muscles is crucial to protecting the
spine and maintaining good posture. When your body is
supported by strong central muscles it’s easier to perform
everyday tasks as well as exercise. Abdominal workouts
won’t flatten the stomach - that requires aerobic exercise -
but they will strengthen and tone the muscles.

Basic Curls: Perform the basic curl by lying on your back
with knees bents. Place your fingertips at your ears and
use your stomach muscles to pull yourself about five or six
inches. Slowly lower back down. Avoid using momentum to
perform the exercises.

Cross-Curls: Begin in basic curl position. Contract
stomach muscles and lift to the right as you bring your
right elbow to your left knee. Switch and bring left elbow
to right knee.

Bicycle: Begin in basic curl position but prop your upper
body up on your elbows. Straighten your legs and then raise
both legs several inches off the floor. Pull your right leg
in to your body; then extend it as you pull in your left
leg. Continue doing so; thus “bicycling.”

Rope Climb: Begin in basic curl position. Raise your legs
straight up into the air while keeping your upper body flat
on the floor. Using your abdominals to lift your upper back
off the floor, use your hands and arms to pretend you are
climbing a rope. Grasp the “rope” with your right hand as
you bring your right side off the floor; then switch and
use your left hand.

Stretches: Lie on your stomach with hands at about

November 05 1st Week

3:48 am

In todays market it is becoming increasingly difficult to
stand out from the crowd. As a result some people are
turning to alternative forms of marketing to get themselves
noticed.

Now this is not for everyone as there is a cost involved,
but I felt it is important that you are at least aware of
your alternatives.

This being the case, today we will discuss what’s know as
Aggressive Internet Marketing.

Aggressive internet marketing means full-blown marketing
and promotions that exceed any business’s expectations.
A business needs fierce internet marketing. No more, no
less. But to make it low cost? Is that even possible? How
can something so aggressive be affordable?

Luckily, you can avail of inexpensive aggressive internet
marketing if you just look hard and good enough. Be keen
and alert and know what’s going on in the online industry.
The following questions will help you discern if your
chosen internet site to do the marketing fits the bill.

1. Does the company offer free website design?

Even if you know your HTML, it is still more advisable if
a professional team does it for you. Some internet
marketing sites offer free web design to make sure that
your site’s needs are met. It’s a must that marketing is
integrated to the web design. If the company requires you
to pay more than fifty bucks for the web design, then so
much for straight-forward internet marketing! Look
somewhere else!

2. How many keywords does your web site cater to?

Having too many keywords or key phrases to focus on will
make your page ranking drop. Creating smaller web pages
with content that emphasizes only a few keywords will serve
Internet marketing endeavor better.

3. How search engine-compatible is your website?

Internet marketing is coined “aggressive” only if it is a
hundred percent search engine-compatible. There are about
10 major search engines online and your site has to work
accordingly with them. Find out if your internet marketing
site is expert on search engine optimization.

4. Do you know your competitors?

Affordable aggressive internet marketing pushes your
business forward by taking note of your competitors.
Analysis and evaluation of the competition is mandatory to
figure out your shortcomings and advantages over them. If
this feature is excluded from your internet marketing plan,
you’re getting a mediocre deal.

5. How efficient is the monthly marketing plan?

Usually, you’re asked to pay a monthly fee for the
marketing plan. For a marketing plan to be efficient, it
must zero in on the following things: webpage development,
link exchanges, web content, updates and technical support.
Of course, also included are the standard SEO, competition
analysis and keyword density.

If you’ve procured the right answers for the previous
questions, then you can finally say: “Now that’s low cost
aggressive internet marketing.”

Flying Under the Radar Using Affiliate Links!

One way to get a good income stream without doing anything
that looks like promoting a product is to add affiliate
links to your content. They’re just links, they don’t annoy
anyone, and you can choose where you do and don’t want to
put them. Sounds ideal, doesn’t it? Read on…

How does affiliate linking work?

Step by step, it works like this:

1. You become an affiliate. This works by you going to
various online stores, looking at their product range and
what benefits they offer to affiliates, and then signing up
as an affiliate with the store that makes the most sense.

2. You write about products the affiliate carries. This
might take the form of a review, or just a casual mention
in a related article.

3. You link to the product at the store, using your
affiliate code in the link. This affiliate code lets the
store track that the customer came from your link.

4. For each customer you send their way who actually goes
through with it and buys the product, they pay you a
percentage of the product’s price.

You can see the power that this model could have for a lot
of sites - if you have a hundred thousand visitors, it
doesn’t take a very large percentage of your visitors to
buy that product before it starts to add up to quite a lot
of money for you.

Amazon.com: the web’s biggest affiliate store!

The most popular affiliate store at the moment is
Amazon.com, without a doubt. Why? Because it has such a
huge range of products, from books to DVDs to truly obscure
things. In terms of books especially, Amazon prides itself
in having a listing for everything that exists, and selling
as much of it as it can.

That means that whatever you want to review, the chances
are that Amazon sells it - you’re not as limited as you are
with other online stores, where you can only make affiliate
links to things they happen to be selling this week, and
maybe they’ll stop selling them sometime after that.

What does this mean to you?

Well, imagine you run a book review site. Without being
blatant about it, at the end of each article you can put a
link that says something like “read more reviews of this
book at Amazon”. This link then goes to the product’s page
on Amazon, where there are indeed customer reviews - not to
mention the option to buy the book.

If it’s a good book, this approach means that many people
will click the link to see the reviews, and then buy it
when they’re favourable. I’ve split-tested this, and “read
more reviews” produced almost twice as many conversions as
“buy this book”, making it a very good strategy.

Hang on a sec, though. What about those of us who don’t
run book review sites?

Well, whatever your site covers, I’m sure someone,
somewhere writes books about it. Just introduce a regular
‘book review’ feature, where you review the latest books in
your area of expertise, and then have the ‘more reviews’
affiliate link at the end.

And don’t forget to give books bad reviews occasionally if
you think it deserves it. Despite the lack of affiliate
income this produces, it gives your reviews more long-term
credibility than if you seem to love everything.

Done right, a book review every week or so can be a good
supplementary source of income for your website. After a
while, entirely random search engine visitors will start
finding your book reviews in searches, and clicking through
to Amazon from your site.

I have year-old reviews that regularly make a few dollars
per week - it might not seem like much, but over time it
can add up to a pretty significant amount.

Note: If you’re worried about paying more for books than
you make back, remember that you don’t even have to buy the
books yourself to review them - get them from a library!

This Week’s Trivia Answer
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Here’s the answer to the trivia question I asked earlier…

Why is a chef’s hat tall and balloons at the top?

A chef’s hat is tall and balloons at the top so as to
counteract the intense heat in the kitchen. The unique
shape allows air to circulate around the scalp, keeping the
head cool.

And you thought it was going to be some fancy explanation
with historical significance… well I did anyway :)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Healthy Body… Healthy Mind
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Training Your Mind!

Today’s fast paced life often puts every one of us in
difficult situations where stress and anxiety dominate our
day. The frequency and complexity of problems that arise
and need to be dealt with weakens both our minds and our
bodies, making us incapable of finding the right solutions.

There are several ways to improve your power of
concentration and to learn how to relax your mind and
prepare it for future struggles. Your body responds to what
your mind dictates, but most of the times it does this on a
subconscious level. If you manage to tap into this vital
resource, which is your subconscious mind, you get an extra
edge in dealing with all problems that surround you.

First of all, try to change your daily routine. Not much,
just a bit, but be very conscious about the changes. In the
evening, try to recall all the events that took place in a
day. Quickly analyze the highlights of the day and check
for any gaps in your memory.

If you fail to remember details about an issue you want to
recall this is a good indication that you momentarily
failed to concentrate during that timeframe.

You may also try to diversify the way you live. Again,
changes don’t have to be drastic. If today is no different
than yesterday and the day before you might want to include
new elements in your life.

You could start practicing a sport or maybe giving a shot
to a hobby you never practiced before. Repetitive and dull
actions slowly push your mind in a state of semi
hibernation, which slows down your responses to the issues
around you.

Stimulating your mind by engaging it in a new activity
always has good results. You don’t have to play heavy mind
involving games (such as chess, for example) to do this.

Try the simple things first: take a different route on
your way to work, buy another brand of laundry detergent.
Try to travel by bus, if you normally use a car and stand
up on a chair to have a different perspective of your
bedroom.

You can also engage your mind in other interesting
activities such as meeting new people or seeing old
friends. Give a call to an old high school friend and go
out for some coffee or a beer. Your talks will surely
trigger a chain of events that you store in your mind but
almost never utilize.

Still, this would be a good exercise for the mind and,
more importantly, a pleasant experience for you.

There are many things you dislike or despise in life. Give
them a chance, try to view them from another perspective.
If there is a person you hate try to put yourself in his or
her shoes for a few minutes.

Try to see yourself through the eyes of people around you
and objectively observe your actions and beliefs. Try to
let a clear mind analyze events that you find annoying and
ignore the preconceptions that urge you to judge a person
or event in a certain way.

All of the above are just some simple exercises that will
help you face your problems better prepared. Do not over do
any of them and let them integrate naturally into your way
of life. You may soon look in the mirror and see a happier
you!

RSS - What It Can Do For You

2:13 am

Drawing traffic to your web site is a priority among all webmaters. More *targeted* traffic means more profits. The more visitors your web site receives, the more chances you have to make a sale.

Obviously, search engine rankings play a big part in increasing your traffic. A large number of potential customers would have no idea your site exists unless they find you in search engine results.

Ranking high on the list of search results gives you a much better chance of making sales to these potential customers. The question is how do you get your site listed on the first page?
Choosing the best keywords for you particular market is a good start, but it takes more than keywords to achieve high rankings.

Search engine spiders love constantly updated content on web pages. Search engine spiders will be irresistibly drawn to your site if your content changes frequently.

Constantly updating your web site can prove to be quite a task. Changing your content can take up quite a bit of your time, and time is very valuable to Internet marketers.

This is where Really Simple Syndication, or RSS, comes into the picture. RSS is a way to send out news updates, referred to as feeds, which can be read through RSS reader applications.

Since the advent of RSS, it has become quite a bit more useful to webmasters than it was originally intended.

RSS can make the distribution of your products updates and business messages quite a bit faster and easier. If you have new content, promotions, or products that you want to share with your customers, syndicate it.

Your messages will be displayed immediately through your RSS feed and your customers will receive the news immediately. RSS is best used in conjunction with your blog.

Blogs were developed to be online journals, but since their use became very common, internet marketers have become very resourceful in using them to their benefit. Blogs are automated and information is published immediately.

You can easily publish your blog updates through an RSS feed. This would save you quite a bit of time, and the search engine spiders would thrive on the constant updates. RSS is a free way to promote your web site, and your customers will no doubt be impressed with your technical expertise.

The use of RSS on your web site and blog will attract more visitors to your site and make your site a favorite among search engine spiders. More visitors mean more chances of you increasing your profits.

Use RSS as a means to promote your web site and draw the attention of the search engines. The results can only be in your favor. RSS is becoming very popular among webmasters, especially Internet marketers.

What better way to raise your search engine rankings and increase traffic to your web site than with constantly changing content that reaches your target audience immediately? RSS in an innovation, and can only improve your traffic and your sales.

The Different Types of Resell Rights & Resell Rights Marketing

November 5, 2005 11:59 pm

Many people online today take advantage of products that
come with Resell Rights. This way, they can start building
profit streams without having to do all the research, ebook
compiling and designing, website building, etc. You may
also want to take advantage of this opportunity.

First, there are products that don’t come with any type of
Resell Rights. These products may just be for your
personal use or may come with distribution or giveaway
rights, which allow you to freely pass these products to
your subscribers and visitors. However, you can’t sell
these under any circumstances.

Second, there are products that come with Resell Rights.
These can also be used for personal use, but can also
be resold by you. Usually, these products will come
with their own webpages and promotional materials
so that all you have to do is upload them to your
website and start promoting.

Only if you purchase the Resale Rights License are you
allowed to resell the product to your prospects and
visitors.

When your customers order a product with Resale Rights
from you, they are allowed to resell the product to their
customers, but they’re not allowed to pass the Resale
Rights to their customers. Their customers have to come
to you (a Master Resale Rights owner) to purchase a
Resale Rights License so that they can resell the
product.

Another scenario is that the product doesn’t come with
Resale Rights upon purchase of the product, but you can
pay an additional fee to the creator of the product to
obtain a Resale Rights License.

Master Resell Rights allow you to use the product for
your own use, resell the product to your subscribers
and visitors, and resell the resell rights to your
subscribers and visitors. If you wish, you can charge
two prices, one for just the product, and a higher
price for the Resale Rights to the product.

Many internet marketers do this to gain an additional
profit stream from a product without the researching,
creating the website, etc. That’s why Master Resale
Rights are so valuable.

Some Master Resell Rights Licenses will also allow
you to sell the Master Resale Rights to the product
as well, but this is rare.

The next category of resale rights is Customization
Rights. With these rights, you can brand the product
with your affiliate links and/or with your information
(name, email, etc.) and also:

- sell or give away the product branded with your
links/info,
- sell the resale customization rights,
- sell the master resale customization rights to your
customers as well,

… again, according to the product’s license.

Last type of rights: Private Label Resale Rights.
This is the newest category of resale rights that has just
emerged over the last year.

Private Label Resale Rights allow you to use the product
as your OWN, change the information, add your own content,
rename the title of it, and present it as your own product,
etc.

Again, your Private Label Resale Rights License will vary
depending on the specific rights granted by the license.

For example:

- The rights’ seller may allow you to delete/change
the Copyright Notice.

- Other rights’ sellers may request that you abide by
their Copyright Notice and allow you to include your
own name next to their Copyright Notice.

- Some rights’ holders may allow you to do whatever
you want with the product, sell it and/or pass the resale
rights to your customers,

- Others may NOT allow you to pass the resale rights to
your customers.

Usually, when you purchase a product that has resale
rights, you receive a Help, About, or License file with
the package.

Make sure to read that file as it tells you what your
specific rights are and what you can and cannot do with
the package.

If you didn’t receive this file or have questions about
your rights, do not hesitate to contact the owner of the
package and ask him/her your questions.

NEVER PRESUME what your rights are. You could
get into serious legal trouble if you violate your license
rights. So always ask first before acting - it’s well
worth it to miss a possible sale or two to save yourself
legal headaches later on.

Remember that you get 4 new products with PRIVATE
LABEL and ALSO with RESALE RIGHTS when you register
with Turbo Membership.

You get an ebook, a script, 5 sets of templates, and
10 articles: all NEW and unique, and this is just a
PART of what is offered through TurboMembership!

Private Label Resale Right Sites can also be found here.

Increase Your Traffic And Promote Your Web Site Effectively

November 3, 2005 11:58 pm

As webmaster, you are aware that you must promote your web site in order to make money. If you have not yet mastered the art of web site promotion, you will have to make a concentrated effort to do so if you want to succeed in your niche.

The more you can make your web site visible to the public, the more traffic you receive and the more sales you will make. There are some ways you can promote your web site more effectively, increasing the volume of traffic to your web site.

If you do not already have your own domain name, get one. Your domain name should be catchy and memorable, and be very recognizable to the public. Use a name that is appropriate for your business and do not choose a domain name that is too long.

You should avoid annoying banners and pop-up ads. Give your customers free information on subjects relevant to your business and update this information frequently. If you give your visitors substantial, relevant information, they will stay at your site longer and you will make more sales.

You will want to submit your site to search engines. Search engines account for a large percentage of traffic to most web sites.
This will include positioning and meta tag placement. You will need to test with various search engine tools and you will have to constantly update your site if you want to stay indexed.

If you can afford to pay for advertising, do so. Paying for sponsored results on search engines and banner ads are an excellent way to drive traffic to your site. You can also advertise in online newspapers and magazines.

In addition to advertising, you can create an online community. A blog, message boards, email groups, and discussion lists are great places to make and receive comments about your business. Include your custom signature in your postings and post frequently.

If you do not have a mailing list, get one. You can keep in close contact with established and potential customers, and build credibility in your market.

A monthly or periodic Ezine can be a very useful tool in giving your customer’s new information and product updates. Each time you send out your Ezine to your mailing list subscribers, you will remind them to visit your web site.

If your Ezine contains pertinent information your customers may share your Ezine with others, increasing traffic to your web site. Exchanging ads with other internet marketers is a good way to promote your web site as well.
You place your ads in your associate’s Ezine and other publications, and in exchange you will place their ads in your publications.

Update your web site constantly. Your web site should always be functioning perfectly and you should update articles and features regularly.
Check for broken links, pages, and images. If your customers are able to find what they need each and every time, they will return to your web site again and again.

Search engine spiders love frequently updated content, so make this one of your top priorities. If you fail to update your content, the search engines will drop your web site from search results.
Promoting your web site is the only way you will succeed… online.

PayPal Policy & 2 Tier Programs Reminder

10:39 pm

As many publishers seem to be unaware of PayPal policies I’d like to remind you that 2 Tier Programs violate PayPal’s policy and any user that does not edit his/her commission plan for 1 Tier only may be in jeopardy of account termination with PayPal.

Check the policy here.

Should you still want to offer 2 Tier schemes, I recommend:
- 2CheckOut
- GreenZap (offers $25 just for signing up)
- SafePay
- Moneybookers

Gilles Rais

PS Oh, and don’t give credits to horror stories about PayPal, such as I’ve-been-banned-by-PayPal-I-lost-everything-signup-here-before-it’s
-too-late-for-you-too. Most of them are not true.

That’s just a trick to make you sign up and get refferrals commissions on your sales.
