Here’s Why You Need To Use Landing Pages

December 26, 2005 12:33 am

All the products that you want to sell online are ready.

You have already signed up with the Google Adsense program or with other affiliate marketing programs and you have already prepared the ad you want to post on your affiliate’s site.

Your mind is now set to being the next most successful online businessman. But is there anything else that you might have forgotten to prepare? Maybe none.

But how about your landing pages? Are they all set for your business?

Landing pages are simply web pages where visitors are directed to whenever they click a result in a web search or whenever they click a web ad.

For affiliate marketing, landing pages would refer to the web page where you, as a merchant, would want your potential customer to be directed after clicking your ad on your affiliate’s website.

Landing pages are, at most times, nothing really different from other web pages in a particular website, especially if the said website is an e-commerce site.

Some online businessmen would even use the homepage of their websites as the landing page for their ads. Are these businessmen making a big mistake? Or should you follow their method in creating landing pages for their ads?

Well, you can always follow what most online retailers do, directing their potential customers to the homepages of their websites.

But if you want to achieve something more from your online business, and if you want to earn a lot of profits, you better create a special landing page for your web ads.

Why? Here are a few reasons why you need to use landing pages for your web ads. And take note, it would do you a lot better if you create a great landing page than a so-so one.

Reason no. 1: It is the only way you earn conversions in an affiliate marketing program.

There are a variety of affiliate marketing programs today, but most of these programs let the merchant pay the affiliate in a pay per click basis.

Basically, all you have to do is sign up with the program and submit your ad. The program owner would then distribute your ad to various affiliates who would then place your ad on their websites.

Whenever your ad is clicked, a visitor would be directed to your landing page and you would have to pay the affiliate for his service.

As a merchant, you earn in an affiliate program through conversions—that is whenever a visitor that is directed to your site actually buys a product on your site.

Without these conversions, you actually earn nothing from the program. Also, the more visitors that your affiliates have directed to your site, the larger would your expense be.

And the only way that you can recover from these expenses is through conversions.

Now, you sure won’t get any conversion if you have posted an ad on your affiliate’s site without an actual landing page for the potential customer to be redirected into.

It’s just like advertising a product without actually having a store to sell your product. Your advertisement may be enticing enough to encourage people to purchase a product, but without the landing page, how will they know how to purchase the product

It is therefore important to have landing pages for your ads because it is the only way for you to earn something in an affiliate program.

Without landing pages, all you do is spend money paying your affiliates without actually getting anything in return.

Reason no. 2: Other web pages may just not be enough.

Many people make the mistake of making their website’s homepage as the landing page for their ads. The same is true for those who make use of other pages like a “contact us” page or a product page.

Homepages are often designed to serve multiple users and contains a lot of links to other pages or to other websites. The same is with the other two pages mentioned.

If you want to be successful in an affiliate program, we’re sure that you don’t want your landing page to cater to the needs of various people, most of which may not be really interested with your product.

When choosing a landing page, you must always have the customer directed into that page in mind. Therefore, your landing page must be relevant to the keywords and the contents you placed on your ad.

It is also important that the landing page can induce your visitor to take action—that is to purchase your product or at least provide leads for potential customers.

Final Word

You probably entered into an affiliate marketing program with these things in mind: to save on advertising expenses and to gain more profit.

But if you get into an affiliate marketing program without actually having a landing page, you’ll end up paying too much without getting anything in return.

So if you still don’t have a landing page for your ads, you better start creating one now.

And don’t get me wrong; it isn’t enough for you to have just a landing page—it should be a great landing page!

About My Friend Harold And You

December 25, 2005 12:27 am

Have you ever seen those “get-paid-to-surf”… programs?
Or maybe those “get-paid-to-take-surveys”… programs?

My friend Harold tried those.

I remember he was so excited, until he got his first check.
A whopping $6.21 U.S.

That worked out to about 28 cents per hour.

Needless to say, he doesn’t do those anymore. In fact, he
won’t even consider working any kind of business anymore.
“After all,… he tells himself, they don’t work”.

His theory is, if you have to pay money to own a business,
then it’s not a legitimate business.

His other theory is, if you can get into a business for
free, then it’s not a legitimate business.

Do you know anyone like that?

When confronted with the fact that most independently
wealthy people got that way by starting and running
businesses, people like Harold will say they just got
lucky. Or they knew the right people. Or they were born
with a silver spoon in their mouth.

He’ll never admit that anyone and everyone can build their
own prosperous business, because then he’d have to admit
that he could do it, too. It’s far easier for him to sit
and complain than it is for him to create the life he
wants.

Anyone with the right tools and knowledge can start their
own successful business. This is doubly true of an Internet
business, because you can build an Internet business any
time of day or night, from the comfort of home.

Does it take work? You bet! As you know, get
rich-doing-nothing-schemes don’t work because the world
doesn’t work that way. You reap what you sow.

But having a successful Internet business doesn’t have to
be difficult, either. Find someone who knows what they’re
doing, then let them teach you everything they know.

Or better yet, get the one and only Internet franchise that
has everything you need to succeed. You just add work and
dedication. You can do that. Harold could do that, if he
wanted to.

Instead, he’s working at the same job he’s been at for 16
years. Same grind, same lousy boss, same long hours, same
commute to and from work, same low wage. Not to mention the
same small house with the same 8 year old car, and a
whopping two weeks of vacation per year, which he spends at
home because he can’t afford to go any where.

As you can imagine, the one thing Harold has done is
perfected his complaining skills.

You can’t change the Harold’s of the world.

But you can choose not to be one of them.

See you there :-)

3 Necessary Tools For The High Rolling Affiliate Marketer

12:30 am

What does it take to become a successful Affiliate Marketer?

What are the ingredients of an affiliate marketing success story? Is there a shortcut to Affiliate Marketing glory? All these questions play around in the minds of affiliate marketers who want to make it big in this business.

Although affiliate marketing is touted as one of the easiest and most effective ways to earn money online, it is not as easy as it sounds.

The wise affiliate marketer plans every action and executes it the best way he can. He should also maximize the potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful Affiliate Marketing business.

We have consulted some of the most successful affiliate marketers in the business and below are the top three necessary tools for a successful affiliate marketing business.

Important Tool #1: Your Own Website

The most important and indispensable tool in Affiliate Marketing is your own website. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website.

Your website is the jump off point of all your marketing efforts. Thus, you must first build a user-friendly website, which will appeal to your prospects and encourage them to click on the links to the products and service you are promoting and make a purchase.

Therefore, you must first concentrate your efforts in building a website that will cater to what your prospects need.

The most important thing you should consider is that almost all web users go online to look for information, not necessarily to go and buy something.

Above all else, make your website full of original, relevant and useful content. People will love articles that are appealing and helpful. Keep in mind that, in the internet, content is still king and good quality content will not only build your credibility, it can also help you achieve a higher search engine ranking.

By posting relevant and useful articles, you establish yourself as a credible expert in the field, making you a more trustworthy endorser of the product or service you promote.

Establishing a good reputation is a good step in building up a loyal consumer base.

Important Tool #2: Incentives

Competition is extremely tight in the internet world. You must always be one-step ahead of your rivals to ensure that you capture a significant share of your target market.

Therefore, you must use every possible means to encourage people not only to visit your site but also to click and proceed to the websites of the products and services you are promoting.

Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine. Better yet, offer incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your newsletters.

You can present free softwares, access to exclusive services and other freebies that will be helpful to your prospects.

Important Tool #3: Link Popularity

The importance of driving highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be emphasized enough. The all-important web traffic is at the top of the list of the most important entities in the internet world.

Attracting people to your site should be the first step you should carry out. Do everything to achieve a high search engine ranking.

Link Popularity is one of the factors that search engines use to determine search engine rankings. Therefore, to enhance your link popularity, you must launch an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.

One of the best ways to do this – at no cost at all – is by submitting articles, with your website’s link at the resource box, to e-zines and free article sites.

You will not only gain exposure, you will also have the opportunity to advertise for free, just include a link back to your site. The more sites you submit your articles to, the better your link popularity is.

Make your articles original, relevant and useful so that more websites will pick it up and post it.

These are but three of the many tools that an affiliate marketer can use to maximize earning potential. The possibilities are endless and are limited only by your imagination, creativity, resourcefulness and determination.

You can always explore other ideas and adapt other strategies, which you think might help you become a high rolling affiliate marketer.

December 4th Week

December 19, 2005 11:34 pm

The late, great Cory Rudl once said:
(excerpt from The Internet Global)

“…the biggest change I see heading our way is a shift
from the global market to the local market….the Internet
is going local.

Here is the secret: If you realize this and the power it
will have on society… can you find a way to capitalize on
this? If you have ideas and position yourself now, you will
be an incredibly wealthy person!”

Cory’s prediction has come true — the Internet IS going
local. The question is… when will small business owners
realize it?

According to The Kelsey Group, “70% of U.S. households now
use the Internet as an information source when shopping
locally for products and services… Findings also suggest
the Internet is poised to surpass newspapers as a local
shopping information resource.”

The search engines have laid the groundwork and put some
incredible tools in place. Google Local Business Center
lets business owners add or edit their company information
to Google Local. MSN & Yahoo have their own Local Search
offerings. Most of them are free (for now), just there for
the taking.

Tell that to small business owners. Try talking to them
about local online advertising and this is what you might
get:

- “Oh yeah, the Internet. That’s for selling stuff to the
world, but all of my customers live here.”
- “I tried the Internet, it didn’t work for my business.”
- “I have a website but it gets no traffic - what a waste
of money!”
- “The Internet is for products - I have a service
business.”

…and so on. It may be hard to believe, but many of them
have no clue how much the Internet could help their
business.

Yet they will pay exorbitant prices to advertise in those
heavy 20 pound behemoths known as the Yellow Pages.

If you think about it, Yellow Pages are ridiculous: a
teeny tiny rectangle’s worth of information that you can’t
change for a year, on the SAME page as your competitors’
ads. And for that they charge you hundreds or even
thousands of dollars a year.

But the Yellow Pages are familiar, so small business
owners stick to it. And since most of the Yellow Pages are
online now, many will get basic online listings by default.

Still, it’s a shame that so many small business owners
have such misconceptions about the Internet.

A lot of that is a due to all the hype and craziness of
the early Internet days, when they got sucked into paying
huge sums of money for worthless websites that they
thought would magically bring customers through their
doors. Those experiences left a bitter taste in many a
business owner’s mouth, which still lingers today.

Okay, well that was then. It’s time to turn the page and
move forward. How can we help small business owners wake up
and smell the coffee?

A little bit at a time.

Help your neighborhood businesses get the message. Even if
their eyes glaze over when you mention it, tell small
business owners some of the ways you use the Internet in
your life. If you have family or friends who own
businesses, make sure they get their business online.

Encourage every business owner you meet to get an Internet
presence — not a glorified brochure, but something that
helps them to connect and build relationships with visitors
and customers.

Don’t try to convince them, just inform them in a
friendly, non-threatening way. If you’re really savvy you

could even create a website that focuses on a “local
directory” and then charge a fee for each business listing.

Tell them that if they’re NOT using the Internet to
attract and communicate with local consumers, they’re
losing money.

Then put your money where your mouth is and patronize
local businesses that DO get it. Eventually the others will
get with the program … or they’ll go out of business.

“The Secrets to Profiting With Private Label Content”

Private Label Content (PLC) is becoming increasingly
popular as people join the rush to fill their websites with
high-quality information. Admittedly, you can have articles
written by freelance writers at sites like Elance or
Rentacoder, but it gets expensive.

For those who are not yet generating a high income through
AdSense or affiliate sales, Private Label Content provides
a welcome alternative.

=== What is Private Label Content? ===

PLC generally refers to articles, e-books and manuals that
are free for subscribers to use as they wish. There are a
few restrictions, however, ie you cannot claim copyright to
PLC, or submit it to article sites, unless you change the
content significantly. (Interpret ’significantly’ as
‘unrecognizable as the original article’.)

The cost of membership varies, but typically ranges from
around $24 to $67 a month. For this you might receive
anywhere from 150 to 300 articles per month. Some sites
also offer graphics (e-book covers and site header
graphics) and even ready-made sales letters.

To use PLC to the best advantage, you need to be aware of
a few things:

=== 1. How Can You Use PLC Articles? ===

The most common use for PLC articles is to provide useful,
interesting content for websites. There are other uses,
however. Think about your immediate needs. If you require
an incentive for people to sign up for your newsletter, you
can offer an e-book or training manual made up from PLC
articles.

It’s easy to tweak these to be more relevant to your
website and your clients. (As well as putting yourself in
Google’s shoes, put yourself in your clients’ shoes. What
do they most need to know?)

You could also create an e-course (anything from 6 to 52
articles - a short e-course, or one that offers an article
for each week of the year). This gives you an excellent
reason to stay in touch with your clients.

=== 2. How Can You Alter PLC Articles? ===

Submitting articles to public article directories along
with your resource box is a great way to generate traffic
to your web-sites. However, many directories don’t allow
you to submit duplicate content - ie, you have to submit
your own unique article.

Therefore, when submitting an article that you obtained
from a private label content resource, it’s advisable to
first alter the article before submission. Here are a few
tips in that regard…

** Change the title of the article…

If you are using keyword-optimized articles, make sure you
keep the keyword in the title - but be creative about the
words that surround it. So if your article is based on the
keyword “Mongolian Guinea Pig”, your title might be “Where
to Find the Mongolian Guinea Pig” or “Taking Care of Your
Mongolian Guinea Pig” and so on.

** Change the opening paragraph…

All you need to do (usually) is make sure that your
keyword appears once. Take a look at the rest of the
paragraph. How can you say the same thing in a different
way? Look for synonyms - using your thesaurus - or alter
the tone.

Perhaps you can adopt a more casual approach (this might
work better for your readership anyway). You might prefer
write a different introduction altogether.

** Work through the article…

Add a sentence here; subtract one there. Present the facts
in a different order. Expand by adding some new points.
Break a long article into two shorter articles. (If you do
this, make sure each article seems complete in itself.)

** Rewrite the ending…

When you do this, think about what you want the reader to
do. Is this a good place to put your own affiliate link, or
write a lead-in to your own product or services?

=== 3. Blend Several Articles Into One ===

You can get a whole new look if you take two or more PLC
articles on the same theme and blend them into one longer,
fact-packed article. Sometimes you might find you HAVE to
do this, if an article seems a bit ‘lightweight’. Not all
PLC articles are created equal! Sometimes it’s obvious that
the writer was low on inspiration.

=== 4. Think Outside the Square ===

Most PLC articles are presented in batches relevant to one
niche. For example, you might find that over the course of
a month you get 20 articles on golf, 20 on cell phones, 20
on credit cards and 20 on travel. Let’s say that you are
busy building a golf site. It might seem at first glance
that only 20 of the 80 articles are relevant to your needs.

Not so! Golf vacations, for example, are very popular.
Could any of your travel articles be massaged to fit the
theme of golf vacations? It’s very likely that they could.

And what about communication while you travel - or while
you play golf? Does the golfer need a new cell phone that
will easily adapt to overseas communications? How will the
golfer pay for a new set of clubs or a golf vacation? Might
he need to explore credit card options?

You see how it’s done. Be creative in your use of Private
Label Content, and you will definitely get your money’s
worth.

=== 5. One Final Tip - Hold Out For Quality! ===

Now that Private Label Content is becoming popular, more
and more PLC sites are opening up. You can afford to be
choosy. Check out the quality of the articles on offer, and
especially the niches being targeted.

Niche areas like golf and credit are popular, and that’s
exactly what you want. You want to go where there is an
*existing* demand. You do NOT want obscure niches where
there is little activity. You WANT to go where there is
competition.

Naturally, the profitable niches will always have
competition. Where there is competition, there are buyers!
So you want to look for demand, look for competition, and
carve your niche!

Finally, consider being a member of more than one PLC
site. Is it worth it to you to spend $150 a month on
quality, no-strings-attached content? That would get you
membership of 3-4 sites and upwards of 400 articles each
month.

Even if you can use only 50 of those articles, you’re
getting them for $3 each - a bargain!

Your Own Attitude Makes the Difference!

In life there is a huge variety of things that you can’t
control, no matter what! Nevertheless, you should never let
those things, regardless of how bad they are, defeat you.
Remember that, no matter how bad the situation gets, you’re

the one who decides how to react to it and how much it can
affect you.

It is essential to always meditate on the positive aspects
of any occurrence. In other words, try identifying the good
parts in everything.

Even though it might sound extremely hard or very foolish
at the beginning, seeking the good aspects in the worst
situation of all will help you exercise your way of
thinking and, in no time, you’ll find yourself meditating
in an incredibly constructive and positive manner.

The question is how to find the power to analyze
everything in a good light, when things can’t get worse
than they already are. The answer is to detach yourself
from the facts. Remember that most things in this life are
temporary and you have to move on, no matter what.

Also, if you train yourself to smile a lot and be polite
to the people around you, you might discover that, in fact,
this actually represents an efficient medicine against bad
thoughts and a healthy attitude towards life can sometimes
play a crucial role.

Nevertheless, remember to seek out the lesson you should
learn after a disgraceful occurrence. Have a learning
attitude towards whatever happened and try to convince
yourself that all is for your own interest - after all
everything bad that happens to you can only make you wiser,
stronger and contributes to your self-improvement, if you
know how to turn the situation in your favor.

When there is an extremely difficult problem to solve and
no solution seems to fit in, remember to change the
perspective from which you’re analyzing the data. Getting
awfully scared and not being able to think clearly, will
definitely not lead you to resolving the issue.

On the other hand, if you meditate and try to observe the
situation form another perspective, which is, if not
better, at least less harmful, you might soon identify a
way to solve the problem.

If your worries are related to your future, strive to
impose to yourself that you can reach the goal, no matter
what! You have to have a winner’s attitude in order to
defeat the problems. This is why, you also have to remember
that, in a certain way, the others share the same attitude
that you have for yourself.

Consequently, if you’re nervous, afraid you might fail,
unconvinced with your actions, etc. people around you will
perceive you exactly as you perceive yourself. Not in vain
do they say that what others think about ourselves, is in
fact, the reflection of our actions, which is actually the
reflection of our attitudes.

The good thing about attitudes is that one can change or
educate them and it has been proven that a good attitude
toward everything around us is more efficient than any
other drug. It’s free and it can only produce good results,
so have an open attitude about it!

S.P.A.M - What Is It & Why It Can Lead To The Downfall of Your Business!

12:16 am

Several years ago, when someone mentioned S.P.A.M,
people thought of that meat that comes in a can. :-)

Recently however, especially for internet users, SPAM
conjures up the thought of unsolicited email, which
can be a severe nuisance to your inbox and deadly
for your business.

Unsolicited email means

- any unrequested email that is sent to people on your
list.

- any email that is sent to people not on your list.

- any email that is sent to people you don’t know.

You do any of the above and you risk the end of your
business. That is because your ISP (Internet Service
Provider) can shut down your Internet access and your
web host can shut down your website. Obviously, without
these, there is no way of doing business on the Internet.

On top of those consequences, the US Government has
recently been enacting tougher laws on SPAM sending.
This includes the CAN-SPAM Law, which prosecutes anyone
who sends SPAM, resulting in either heavy fines, jail
time, or both.

To learn what the US Government considers SPAM and what
the CAN-SPAM Law does, go here,

www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.htm

That is why you must now include your contact information,
including name and address, at the end of each email
message you send to your list, as well as an unsubscribe
link at the end of each message so that your reader has
an easy way of removing himself/herself from your list.

Another consequence that SPAM has caused is that ISPs
block many legitimate email messages from reaching their
subscribers in their attempts to block out SPAM.
This greatly interferes with the email publishing of
newsletters, ezines, autoresponder courses, and more.

That is why many internet marketers will now put their
newsletters/ezines online on their sites and notify you
that the next issue is available, or use Blogs or RSS
to deliver their newsletters/ezines.

To prevent your business from being shut down by SPAM,
here are some tips to help you.

- Always have your subscribers sign up for your newsletter/
ezine, course, etc. You should always keep a record of
when the person signed up for your list. Double opt-ins
are better because this “double-checks” to make sure
that the person wanted to sign up to your list before
he/she starts to receive any of your messages.

- Unless you know for sure that the source is reputable,
never buy “leads” for your list, as you don’t know for
sure where these leads came from. The email addresses
could have been taken off the web and stored in a list
for sale. If you start sending messages to those leads,
you are GUILTY of SPAM and will suffer extreme penalties.

- If you are building more than one list, never place
the subscribers from your first list onto your second
list without asking for their permission. If you do, you
risk your business.

If you’re in doubt on whether something you do could be
considered SPAM or not, ask a reputable internet marketer
or read the website above to make sure. Don’t take the
chance of losing your business!

You can use TurboZiner’s Anti Filter tool for checking
if your email message will be considered as a “unwanted”
message or not, thus if your subscribers will use it or not.

The same script is also offered you for free once
you’ll sign up with TurboMembership.

To your success!

Don’t Make These Common 4 Affiliate Mistakes!

December 14, 2005 12:26 am

Myths concerning affiliate marketing are appealing and attractive. People who do not know the entire system the wrong way round are prone to believing that it is something capable of giving them great fortune overnight.

Stories concerning affiliates who earn tremendous amounts of money swim in their heads, and while these stories are as true as they can be, there are those who believe that they are going to have the same fortune once they indulge in this particular business.

It is true enough that affiliate marketing is financially rewarding. People who have gone through everything to be able to succeed in this business are reaping the seeds that they untiringly sowed.

Many of them enjoy the kind of existence that was not possible for them to have had under ordinary circumstances.
Having gone through the A-Z of affiliate marketing, however, these people are the ones who know that while such business is lucrative, there is absolutely no easy money in it.

Ignorance of this fact is one of the main reasons why there are people who fail miserably in the internet business. There are those who believe in myths concerning the easy money involved in systems such as affiliate marketing.

They do not know that there are those who have wasted time, effort and too many resources in trying to pursue the life of ease that they believe this business will give them.

And so they go into affiliate marketing armed with nothing but myths and fantastical notions of wealth swimming in their consciousness, never realizing that they bound to make mistakes that would prove to be their downfall.

What may be the reason why in businesses such as affiliate marketing, many are called but few are chosen?

Perhaps the answer lies on the fact that many affiliates make mistakes that result from their ignorance of facts concerning how the entire business runs.

Affiliate marketing is not as simple as an affiliate promoting a merchant’s wares through his website and getting paid for it. It is also about knowing the market and the customers at hand.

Discovering what the most common mistakes affiliates make can perhaps dispel the gloom about myths surrounding affiliate marketing by correcting some wrong notions about it.

It might also be able to make those concerned understand that like any other business, there are dos and donts involved in this one if they want to make each of their steps count.

The first common mistake affiliates make is their lack of knowledge concerning principles involved in their business. This refers to the affiliate’s knowledge of search engines in particular.

Affiliate marketing involves advertising, and advertising through the internet could not have been better without the existence of search engines.

What every affiliate has to do is to make these search engines his best friend through studying search engine optimization closely.

This way, he is able to know what to do in connection with building a better website to ultimately use for his business.

The second is that affiliates make the mistake of stuffing their sites with banners that do not provide enough information about the product at hand.

The best way to battle this mistake is to provide good content hand-in-hand with such banners. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of a product, and good content will be able to help them realize this goal.

The third is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting only one product. Consequently, customers are not given enough options to choose from.

There is also the risk of generating fewer sales as compared to having more options for customers ponder about. It is always better to give them a few better alternatives than to give them only one.

The fourth is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting too many products. As a result, customers are confused and end up beyond making a choice.

It is perhaps good to give them only the best choices. This is because it is ultimately up to them to judge which one is the best for them to patronize.

All in all, affiliates that are doomed to fail in this business are those who do not exert enough effort to understand everything involved in the industry that they are in.

Knowing their path step by careful step will prove to be beneficial to them, as there is no other way to succeed than to go through any path slowly but surely.

December 3rd Week

December 11, 2005 1:57 pm

There are many ways to earn an income online and as a
online marketer you need to diversify by “having your
fingers in may pies” so to speak :-)

One such option is the niche mini-site.

A niche mini-site is basically a one or two page
salesletter designed specifically to convert your visitors
into buyers. It’s whole purpose is to sell what your
promoting and not there to provide detailed information
about your product or any other topic.

Some benefits of mini-sites are:

- Easier to optimize for search engine rankings.
- Inbound links to your sites will lead to a higher Google
Page Rank.
- You can be an expert at whatever you sell or whatever
service you offer.
- Higher traffic generated than regular web sites.

Below are the basic steps you need to take to create a
niche mini web site:

- Find a profitable niche.
- Determine the best product to sell for that niche.
- Write a well crafted ad.
- Design a landing page.

Make sure you do not include banners or any other form of
advertising as these will distract the attention of your
visitors. Your only focus should be on selling your
product. Nothing else!

Each web site should focus on just the product you are
promoting and be optimized for just that product. Do this
by selecting keywords that are highly relevent to your
niche and then work these phrases into your salesletter.

Try to use your keywords in the title, heading tags, and
graphic alt tags as this will help to gain a higher ranking
in the search engines.

When creating your salesletter, start by quickly
describing the benefits of your product and keep your focus
tight on this topic. Try to pre-sell your product by
including several bullet points to highlight the key
benefits on how your product can solve your visitors
problems.

If possible, contact well known and highly respected
marketers and ask them to review your product and provide a
endorsements/testimonail to add credibility to your product
or service. This can have a major impact on your results,
so spend sometime on obtaining as many testimonials as you
can.

After the endorsements, you should have a method of
capturing the contact details of your visitors. You can do
this by offering a free bonus or ecourse to entice your
visitors to sign-up to your list. This allows you to
contact them at a later time to offer other related
products or services.

Next you need to create a simple order page that is easy
and fast to complete, as you do not want to lose customers
because it is too complicated or takes too long to purchase
your product.

Select a domain name that includes your keywords as this
will also help your search engine rankings. And when
deciding on a host for your site, look for a reliable
hosting service that has a good track record and minimal
down time.

While mini-sites are just one method to generate an
income, they are one of the easiest way to make some quick
money as they are easy to design and take little time to
set-up. All you need is a great idea and you’re ready to
make some moolah.

If you haven’t the knowledge or experience to create your
own niche product, then simply join one of the many private
label content sites and use this content to create your own
product. Click here for business opportunities.

Once you have completed one site, rinse and repeat to
create multiple sites across multiple niches to beign
generating a stable online income.

Good luck!

Work Less… Earn More!

Have you had trouble getting started in online marketing?
Are your websites profitable yet? Many beginning internet
marketers quickly become frustrated and quit because they
do not realize instant profits.

Well, here are two little pieces of advice that seem very
simple on the outside but can have a large impact on your
business. In fact by following them you can increase your
productivity and profits. By the way they were both traps
that I feel into myself and that is why I am aware of them.

First, let me ask you a question. Do you ever find
yourself checking your website statistic more then once a
day?

Many internet marketers get in the habit of checking two,
three, five even ten times a day. It is easy to fool
yourself that somehow this is helping! However if you weigh
a rock on the scale ten times a day and expect a different
result you would be considered crazy.

Well, checking your website stats can be much the same.
Just because you added a few new links or a new article to
your website does not mean your traffic will raise all of a
sudden. In fact checking it too many times a day is counter
productive. Spend the time working on your websites and
adding content like articles, or exchange links instead.

The second trap that to watch out for is bouncing among to
many projects.

You can probably relate to this. You get an email
newsletter from an internet marketing guru that says this
new software is the best thing since sliced bread or it
touts some new affiliate program and what do you do? Well,
if you are like many other people doing business on the
internet you jump on the bandwagon and hope for the quick
windfall of profits.

The problem is that by jumping from one project to the
next means nothing is ever finished and nothing ever
becomes profitable. So what should you do?

Pick one or two projects and stick with them. Do not
change course mid-stream. To be successful in any project
you must give it time to work. Stay with the projects
you’ve identified as “hot” at least three to six months. If
after six months the project has not become profitable then
you might want to regroup and change strategies.

These two techniques alone, while very simple, can
significantly improve productivity and in turn your profits
online. Hope you find them useful :-)

This Week’s Trivia Answer
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Here’s the answer to the trivia question I asked earlier…

What does the word Nike stand for?

The word Nike comes from Greek Mythology. Nike is the
goddess of victory and was often depicted as a small winged
figure whom the goddess Athene carried.

Learn to Feel Good About Yourself!

It’s happened to you more than once. You meet a person and
before getting to actually know the person, you realize
that you simply couldn’t get along well with them, no
matter how hard you try.

There’s an ancient believe that says people we simply
can’t stand, reflect a bad or weak point of our own
personality, which we totally dislike.

In other words, if you dislike something about yourself,
such as being afraid to speak in public, you will probably
despise people who have the same problem that you do. Once
you solve your own problem, your feelings towards that
person may then turn into pity and you may find yourself
trying to help that person.

Always remember that in order to feel good about yourself,
you have to create and maintain a perfect harmony between
your inner and outer world, meaning between your soul and
your body, between your thoughts and actions, between
yourself alone and yourself in the company of others!

We all agree that our inner world, ie our souls, have a
great impact on the actions we take in the outside world,
which is why specialists strongly advise you to meditate on
how to achieve harmony within yourself.

With that said, below are some things to keep in mind:

- Try to forgive more often!

Nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes. Accept the
errors that people around you commit, but don’t forget
about your own mistakes. Remember that it takes a very
strong person to have the power to admit having done
something condemnable. Even if at the beginning the others
might blame you, be sure that after a while they will
appreciate your honesty.

- Get more attached to the persons around you and say a
strong no to the isolation!

Scientists confirm that human beings are more happy and
feel more accomplished with themselves when living in
society, surrounded by other people. Thus, you shouldn’t be
afraid to make more friends.

If you are wondering how you can do that, start by
listening more to other people’s problems. Stop being
egocentric and offer your help, whenever you’re given the
opportunity. The feeling of being useful to others will
result in a feeling of satisfaction with your own person.

Although everyday life gives you plenty of reasons to be
angry and stressful, keep in mind that defeating these
feelings will make you stronger and have you thinking in a
positive manner. By trying to discover the good aspects in
any less desirable situation, you will get you through
problems much easier.

- Don’t forget to take care of you physical appearance!

If you are not satisfied with the way you look, do
something about it. If your problem cannot be solved by any
possible means, then you must start to love yourself
exactly as you are.

As soon as you do that, by finding the peacefulness and
the joy of being alive, you’ll discover the same kind of
feelings also in the eyes of the ones surrounding you.

- Never be afraid to ask for help or advice!

By doing this you do something for yourself, you let
others teach you how to improve your own self, which will
always result in making you feel accomplished.

7 Ways To Drive Laser-Targeted Traffic

December 10, 2005 12:22 am

An affiliate marketer may have all the things needed for him to be able to succeed in a business such as affiliate marketing.

He may have the necessary drive, diligence and perseverance to be able to understand how the system works.

He may have all the tools necessary in maintaining the business, including a really unique and interesting website which could earn him a fortune if only the whole world could see it.

However, all these would prove useless if he does not know how to drive traffic to his website.

His business would sink into oblivion together with all the sales, fortune and dreams that he might have realized if he only knew how to do this particular task.

Getting people who matter to see one’s website is a difficult undertaking if he tries to consider the fact that there are rivals everywhere waiting to pin him down.

The immensity of the internet as well as the affiliate marketing world has given birth to the fierce competition between affiliate marketers, each of whom has his own great product to offer.

With all the websites piling on top of each other, how would one be able to stand out?

The seven best ways to drive laser-targeted traffic to one’s own website would help those who are bent on sticking it out with this business wherever it is bound to take them.

The first step in driving traffic to one’s website is by relying on search engines and what they can do for the affiliate marketer concerned.

Because they are popular for driving free targeted traffic, they should not be ignored by all means.

Having top search engine rankings is vital in building popularity links, and the use of the right keywords is important in attaining this goal.

Once a website is on top of the list, it is easily accessible to anyone who wants to see it for himself.

The second way in driving traffic to one’s website is by contacting other webmasters for a possible link exchange partnership. Locating websites that are related to one’s own website is the primary task.

Once there, he should be able to establish communication by personalizing everything as much as possible.

It is then possible to make reciprocal link exchanges between webmasters whichever way the affiliate marketer prefers.

The third way is through writing one’s own articles. This is an effective way in promoting a website, because good content that are appreciated by readers will lead them to visit the writer’s very own website out of sheer interest.

The fourth way is through joint venture marketing. This is one of the most effective ways of promoting a product or a service.

Having a partner through ad swap or link exchange is beneficial to both parties as it allows them to reach a wide customer base in a short amount of time.

The fifth is through joining affiliate programs. Having affiliates to do the work means allowing them to bring tons of traffic to a website.

Skyrocketing sales would be realized as a result, and both the affiliate and the website owner will benefit from the situation.

The sixth is by having a list of subscribers that one can refer to every so often, because they are those which would prove to be valuable assets for the marketer concerned.

The use of autoresponders and personalized newsletters is one way of keeping track of them all, and holding on to them by letting them know about new products and services is an essential task that should be done by the affiliate marketer concerned.

The seventh is by knowing one’s market through and through. It is important for traffic to be targeted to those who might have a special interest in the theme or topic of one’s website.

This way, a solid customer base is going to be created. Once a potential customer shows an interest in a particular website by paying it a visit, one must not waste time in trying to show him that his effort is worth it.

Traffic generating strategies are important in trying to make one’s affiliate marketing career inch forward. It is always advantageous to plan one’s moves in any business that he might undertake.

This is particularly so in affiliate marketing. If one knows how to get people to see what he has to offer, then he is on the right track.

Posting In Forums - The Right Way And Wrong Way To Do It

December 6, 2005 12:13 am

In internet marketing, everyone wants to spread the word
about his/her business for as little cost as possible.
Ideally, one would like to spread his/her message for
free.

Even though the effective ways to advertise for free
are not as numerous as they once were, there are still
some effective free methods around.

One way that is free and still a very effective way
to advertise your product or service is via the forums.

There are many forums on the Internet dealing with all
types of subjects, from dogs to cars to internet marketing.

What you should do is look up the forums in your subject
area - use Google or your favorite search engine, type
in “SUBJECT forums,” replacing SUBJECT with your topic of
interest.

You should find a good number of forums to choose from.

Sign up as a member, log in, and check out the threads
(topics of conversation) .

Introduce yourself to the rest of the forum members;
mention some things about yourself, including your site.

Since you are introducing yourself, you can mention the
site URL in the body of your message, but from then on,
and under normal circumstances, you should NOT mention
your site URL in the body of your message.

Instead, there is a function used by most forums that
allows you to freely “advertise” your site without
paying for the advertisement and without offending anyone.

This function is called an “email signature” and it allows
you to place a short message (usually no more than 1-2
sentences in length) about yourself, your website, etc.
and place your website URL in the message.

The email signature appears after your posted message,
usually near the bottom of the computer screen, but
clearly visible to anyone reading your message.

This allows you to advertise without spending money
and without offending anyone, as your email signature
is a very small, unobtrusive part of your posted message.

The best strategy to use to make your email signature
the most effective in selling your product/service or
for getting new subscribers to your list is by posting
valuable information and your honest thoughts, opinions,
and advice to the forum community.

If the forum community sees that you are providing
valuable posts and offering genuine thoughts, opinions,
and advice, they will look at you as an “expert” in
the subject matter that is being discussed at that forum.

Chances are, they will probably ask you for your advice
and opinions about many topics in your area of expertise.
In other words, they will begin to “trust” you.

The more they “trust” you, the more likely they
are to check out your website, subscribe to your list,
and purchase your products and services.

This is the best way to utilize forums.

The WRONG WAY is to post your website URL, product and
service offers, and your ezine/newsletter in the body of
your message.

That is because most people will consider this as blatant,
unsolicited advertising, also known as SPAM, and will
file SPAM complaints against you. If this happens, you
and your business will be in serious trouble. So make
sure to use the email signature.

Another way in which you SHOULDN’T utilize the forums is
by talking about a subject that has absolutely nothing to
do with what the thread is talking about. Talking
off-topic does not help the forum community.

Also, do not become adversarial in the forums; even if
you disagree with another poster, politely disagree if
you wish, but don’t start calling the person names,
shouting (i.e. TYPING ALL CAPS,) or threatening any type
of action just because you believe you’re right and he/she
is not. That’s not going to help you make “friends” in the
online community, which is your main objective.

So remember to be courteous and helpful when visiting
the forums.

To your success!

Gilles Rais
