5 Hot Viral Marketing Ideas to Explode Your Business
Viral Marketing is without question one of the fastest
ways to grow your online business. There’s no other way
where you can you leverage off the work of hundreds of
other people, without virtually any effort (or cost) on
your part.
With so much competition and rivalry on the net, every
method of marketing must be employed and utilized if you
are to succeed.
With that in mind, here are 6 ideas to help you start your
viral marketing campaign:
1. Purchase the branding rights to a viral ebook.
Allow people to rebrand the book with their affiliate
links and then let them give away your ebook to their
visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This
will just continue to spread your ad all over the Internet.
2. Set up a forum or other bulletin board.
If you have are technically gifted, you really have a
great skill at your fingertips. Simply offer to set-up
forums for other people or allow people to use your online
discussion board for their own website.
As payment for your work, just request to include your
banner ad at the top of the forum or bulletin board. Not
only will you get backlinks to your site, you will also
generate free traffic.
3. Do you have a knack for web design?
Create some templates, fonts or graphics and upload them
to your site. Then allow people to give these away. Just
include your ad on them or require people to link directly
to your web site in return.
Make sure that you include a link back to your site in the
copyright notice and require them to keep your copyright
notice in tact.
4. Write a short 5-8 page report.
Include a page in the report promoting your newsletter or
website and capture the email details to build you own
list. Then allow people to give away the report to their
visitors or readers.
You could even allow them to include an small ad in the
resource section of the report as an incentive for them to
give away the report.
5. Write articles that pertain to your product or service.
Allow people to reprint your articles on their website, in
their newsletter, magazine or ebooks. Include your resource
box and the option for article reprints at the bottom of
each article.
6. Create a free product/membership site.
With the number of scripts available nowadays, it’s very
easy to create your own free membership site. All you need
to do is find some PLR or resell products that you are able
to offer in your membership to entice people to join.
Then create a killer One-Time-Offer and provide an
affiliate program so others can begin promoting your site
to earn commissions. You’d be surprise how effective this
method is in building your list and generating profits.

But more importantly the beauty of this software is that

Gaining the Trust of Your List Quickly!
While many people have gone to great lengths to create
barriers to keep their email accounts from receiving what
they consider spam-related email that promote various
products, there are also those who welcome these type of
emails.
This is mainly because these subscribers want to know more
about what these sites are offering and can be beneficial
for them. They expect to get be kept posted on what they
are interested in and what are new in the market or field
they have chosen.
Most marketers would be so lucky to have these kinds of
readers and the basic element needed to get these types of
readers is trust. When your readers trust you they will
reward you with their loyalty and respond to your
promotions.
With a list of loyal subscribers who trust you and are
eager to receive your updates, the messages you send
containing your promotional materials, newsletters and
other valuable information will get read.
The faster you can build a responsive list, the faster the
word about you and your site gets spread around the net.
And it goes without saying that the bigger your opt-in
list, the more traffic you get and the more sales you make.
It’s easy math if you think about it. However, getting the
numbers is not that simple though… or maybe it is?
Gain the trust of your readers!
Gain your readers trust isn’t all that difficult if you
operate a legitimate online business. People rely on other
people who know what they are talking about.
So the first step you need to do is to research as much
knowledge and information you can about your market niche
and then pass it on to your list.
If your readers and potential customers perceive you as an
expert in their area of interest - and you provide valuable
content that solves their problems - they will trust you
quickly.
In other words, show your clients that you know what you
are talking about.
Provide them with helpful hints and guidelines that
pertain to what you are selling. Talk about how to install
a roof if you’re focusing on home handyman tips or provide
articles on insurance settlements if you’re a settlement
lawyer.
Be true to your customers!
If you want to hype up your products and services, provide
results and proof. The more satisfied customers you get,
the bigger probability there is that they will recommend
you to their friends.
Generally, people will trust someone they know, when that
someone recommends you then you’re a shoo-in. They will go
to your site and check it for themselves and be given a
chance to experience what the others have experienced, so
make sure to be consistent in the service you provide.
Provide them an escape hatch!
Show them that you are not there to trap them. Give them
options that allow them to unsubscribe anytime they want.
Provide them with information on how to unsubscribe from
the list. Guarantee them that they can let go of the
service whenever they want to. Remember that when you get
the trust of your clients you should do whatever you can to
keep this trust.

How to Increase Believability For Greater Results
When your prospect reads your copy, you want to make sure
they believe any claims you make about your product or
service. If there is any doubt in their mind, they won’t
bite, no matter how sweet the deal.
It’s a known fact that the “too good to be true” mentality
will virtually guarantee a lost sale…even if it is all true.
So what can you do to increase the perception of
believability? After all, it’s the perception you need to
address up front. But of course you also must make sure
your copy is accurate and truthful.
Here are some tried and tested methods that will help:
- If you’re dealing with existing customers who already
know you deliver as promised, emphasize that trust. Don’t
leave it up to them to figure it out. Make them stop, cock
their heads, and say, “Oh, yeah. The ABC Company has never
done me wrong before. I can trust them”.
- Include testimonials of satisfied customers. It doesn’t
matter that your testimonials aren’t from somebody famous
or that your prospect does not know these people
personally. If you have enough compelling testimonials, and
they’re believable, you’re much better off than not
including them at all.
- Pepper your copy with facts and research findings to
support your claims. Be sure to credit all sources, even if
the fact is common knowledge, because a neutral source goes
a long way towards credibility.
If you’ve sold a lot of widgets, tell them. It’s the old
“10 thousand people can’t be wrong” adage (they can be, but
your prospect will likely take your side on the matter).
- Include a GREAT return policy and stand by it! This is
just good business policy. Many times, offering a double
refund guarantee for certain products will result in higher
profits. Yes, you’ll dish out more refunds, but if you sell
three times as many widgets as before.
- Reveal a flaw about your product. This helps alleviate
the “too good to be true” syndrome. You reveal a flaw that
isn’t really a flaw. Or reveal a flaw that is minor, just
to show that you’re being “up front” about your product’s
shortcomings.
Example:
“You’re probably thinking right now that this tennis
racket is a miracle worker-and it is. But I must tell you
that it has one little…shortcoming.
My racket takes about 2 weeks to get used to. In fact,
when you first start using it, your game will actually get
worse. But if you can just ride it out, you’ll see a
tremendous improvement in your volleys, net play, serves,
…”
There’s a tendency to think, with all of the ads that we
are bombarded with today that every advertiser is always
putting his best foot forward, so to speak. And I think
that line of reasoning is accurate, to a point.
But isn’t it refreshing when someone stands out from the
crowd and is honest? In other words, your reader will start
to subconsciously believe that you are revealing all of the
flaws, even though your best foot still stands forward.
- Use “lift notes”. These are a brief note or letter from
a person of authority. A person of authority is someone
well recognized in their field (which is related to your
product) that they are qualified to talk about. Lift notes
may be distributed as inserts, a separate page altogether,
or even as part of the copy itself. As always, test!
- If you are limiting the offer with a deadline “order by”
date, be sure the deadline is real and does not change.
Deadline dates that change every day are sure to reduce
credibility. The prospect will suspect, “if his deadline
date keeps changing, it’s just a fake offer”. And they are
right.
