Tips on Creating a Compelling Salesletter

Many people have asked what’s the secret to writing a
compelling sales letter that sells. Every time you
communicate with your customers or prospects should have a
clear purpose - and your sales letter is no different.

Now there’s simply not enough space to go into detail
about every aspect of your sales letter, but below is a
brief summary of some of the major points you need to
address.

Before sitting down to write a sales letter make sure you
are clear about the product or service you are offering,
the price, any bonus offers, whether there is a time limit,
etc.

Think from the point of view of the customer. What will
make them interested in your product or service?

Do not make the letter about you or your company. You will
not make sales by telling customers about the latest events
in your office or the history of your company’s expansion.
The letter should be about the customer, their problems,
and how you can solve them.

Headlines are the most important part of a sales letter.
So it’s important that you try to come up with at least
twenty different headlines and then select the best.

Generally headlines should be longer than 3 or 4 words,
but less than 17 words. Take a look at newspaper headlines
and other sales headlines for inspiration. Be specific. If
you have a figure of 37% then use it, do not say ‘over
30%’. Do not exaggerate in your headline to get attention.
If it cannot be believed readers will not bother to look
further.

When you first begin writing the main body of the letter
do not edit it as you write. Just write what you think is
the main, important message and do not stop to correct
spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. If necessary stare
determinedly at the keyboard as you write, or better still
turn the monitor off on your PC.

The reason for this is that if you continually stop to
make corrections the words will not flow and the message
may become confused. Don’t get me wrong, it’s vitally
important to make sure that your final copy contains no
spelling mistakes. But this should be done once your first
draft is completed.

Avoid long sentences and paragraphs in your sales letter.
You want to make the letter as easy to read as possible and
the most effective way to do this to “trick the eye” by
creating whitespace.

You can do this by breaking the letter up into subheadings
that refer to the contents of the next section. Your
subheadings should give enough information for someone
skimming down the page to understand your offer.

Once you feel your letter is complete put it aside for a
while before reading through it again. You may spot
mistakes or areas of confusion that you didn’t initially
notice.

If you cannot leave it for a period of time give it to
someone else to read. Ask them to skim through it to see if
they get the main points of the message. If they do they
can then read each sentence and give you their impression
of the letter.

Now as I mentioned at the start, this is only a very brief
summary on the steps you need to follow to create a sales
letter. While it’s by no means a full-blown explanation, it
gives you a place to start.

How to Find a Low Hanging Niche Markets

The term ‘niche marketing’ means selling a specific
product to a specific type of buyer.

However, comparing niche marketing and an Internet
marketing niche is equivalent to comparing apples with
oranges. Apples and oranges are both fruit. Niche marketing
and an Internet Marketing niche are both forms of Internet
marketing but as different as apples are from oranges.

A niche market allows you to promote your own niche
product or that of a niche affiliate product. There is a
niche market for anything and everything you can imagine.
All it takes to break into a niche market is a good idea, a
good product created by you or someone else that will
appeal to certain people, some advertising and the desire
to succeed.

The Internet marketing niche, on the other hand, means
that you will be promoting your own Internet marketing
product. This is a very crowded field of endeavor and
really difficult to break into. It’s a world filled with
gurus and wise men who have been playing and winning the
game for a long time.

This doesn’t mean that it is impossible to cash in on the
Internet marketing niche because, of course, you can. It is
a world still built on demand and that means that if you
have a product that can compete and if you have the
willingness to play hard-ball with the big boys then you
can succeed at the Internet marketing niche game.

Deciding on what product or service you will promote in a
niche market should be based on a simple principle. There
should be a demand for your product or service. You want to
offer something that people actually need, something that
will make their lives better, make them feel better
physically, make them look better, or help them solve a
problem.

Once you have chosen a product or service to market,
researching to find the right niche for your product or
service is the next most important part of beginning a
niche marketing program.

The things that you need to know are where they spend
their time online, and what makes them tick from a personal
and business point of view.

The next thing you need to learn as you research your
online niche market is what you can reasonable charge for
your product or service.

The best and most effective was to do this is to visit
sites that advertise products or services similar to what
you have chosen to sell. It should be easy to see if they
are giving away a service or selling the product at a price
far lower than you would have to charge.

If you can determine that there are people out there who
are willing to spend money to buy what you are selling and
you can identify those people then you have a niche
marketing product or service that can make money on the
Internet.

Sometimes it takes reframing your product or service to
make it more attractive, better or just different than what
others are selling it for.

But when all is said and done, research is the key to
successful niche marketing. The more research you do to
ensure your chosen niche is viable, the greater the chance
you will be successful.

Crafting Your Eye Catching Ad

Off-line advertising is a tremendous way to increase
traffic to your site. This is a method that is extremely
under utilized by online markets that can have far
reaching positive impacts on your success.

So today you are going to learn the first step in the
process of creating loads of profits from advertising your
website in newspapers.

What is this first step you might ask?

An effective, curiosity provoking advertisement that gets
people reading the paper to take action and visit your
website.

To clarify, we are going to be using short, concise
classified advertisements to generate leads. Yes, you will
learn about using space advertising and longer ads in a
later section but this is where you need to start.

Don’t worry, this isn’t something that requires you learn
a bunch of copywriting tactics or complicated writing
tricks. You just need to put yourself in the place of your
prospect.

Let’s jump into this with an example.

Let’s say that you sell a book on how to have more fun
boating while spending less money and you want to use the
newspaper to get more people to your website.

You want to give a short and enticing headline that peaks
enough interest to get people to your website, nothing more.

Instead of giving you a long-winded explanation or course
on copywriting, I’ll give you a handful of examples you can
steal and model to fit your product or service.

Example #1

Learn Why I Have A Blast Boating Every Weekend And You
Don’t! Free Newsletter.

Example #2

Money. Free Report.
http://www.HaveMoreFunBoating.com

Example #3

Do You Enjoy Boating? Learn How To Do It More Often &
Have A Blast Doing It At This Free Website…
http://www.HaveMoreFunBoating.com

As you can see from the examples above, it doesn’t need to
be some long winded advertisement. Just something short,
simple and crafted to generate some curiosity is all you
need.

How to Use Forums to Create Profitable Niche Products

Niche marketing at its best helps to solve real problems
that real people face and live with everyday. If you can
come up with a product or service in a niche market that
will help people solve their problems - and they are
willing to pay for it - then you that basis for a very
profitable online niche business.

The things that people view as ‘problems’ can encompass
everything from interior decorating to chronic insomnia,
and more often than not, people are searching for solutions
to their problems.

All you need to do is to identify these problems and
provide a solution. But how can you do this?

A good way to find out what people consider a problem is
to visit online forums relating to your chosen niche.
People talk about anything and everything online as it
gives them anonymity, so forums give them the avenue to
express their concerns.

By visiting forums and taking note of what people are most
concerned about you can search the Internet for information
that will help them solve these problems.

Once you have gather information, write articles about
your topic - or have written for you. In this way you can
build a content-rich website for niche marketing that helps
to provide solutions to this problem.

Naturally you would monetize the pages on your site, as
well as include an optin box to build your list so that you
can sell them on the backend to multiply your profits.

An additional way to use forums to help you build a niche
market website is to join a forum, and post a question
about a popular topic that is being discussed. This way you
may receive many more responses regarding your topic and
you could use these to create an ebook or report on this
subject.

The fact is that many people will buy an ebook that is
filled with information they find useful, even if they
could actually gather for themselves as it saves them time -
and to most people their time is very valuable.

Where to Find Fresh Content for Your Blog

It’s a basic law of online marketing - if you have a blog
it needs to be regularly updated to maintain a high level
of readership. If you don’t provide informative content on
a regular basis, you simply won’t get any return visitors -
and no visitors equals no profits!

So it’s no secret that you need to continually find fresh
topics to write about, and in this article we’re going to
discuss how to do just that.

The very first option that you should write about is a
topic that you feel passionate and interested in. Remember,
you’ve chosen to create a blog or website so that you can
earn an online income so you have an opportunity to escape
your mundane job…

…so forcing yourself to write about something that you
have little or no interest in could be as torturous as your
mundane job. So the key is to create a blog about a niche
topic you either have some experience with or have some
level of interest.

The other reason you need to write about something you’re
passionate about is because your feelings and emotion shows
through your writings. If you feel indifferent to a certain
subject but still write about it just for the sake of it,
your readers will notice…

… and forcing yourself to write about a subject will not
establish a welcoming style to your readers!

Once you have chosen your main theme, start posting to
your blog and make it a habit to post at least once every
day, even if it’s only a comment on the newspaper article
you read today.

Think of yourself as a gigantic train. It takes a lot of
effort to get you moving. First, you might just budge an
inch, and later trudge slowly on until you finally reach
your full speed. Then, once you get going, it’s almost
impossible to stop.

However, no matter how well you know your topic, your
brain is bound to get exhausted over some time, so here are
some proven methods to help you brainstorm content for your
blog:

1. The very best way to brainstorm is to see what other
bloggers have to say about stuff happening in your niche -
and the best way to find related blogs is to search
http://blogsearch.google.com/ or www.technorati.com.

When you research other blogs you can gather more
knowledge and information on your subject. You can then
make reference and comment on what others have to say on
your own blog!

2. Once you’ve established contacts with other bloggers in
your field, you’ll have quite a continuous “conversation”
happening on your blog, so you’ll not need to actively
search for more content to write about.

A great place to find additional information is to search
for news articles related to your niche in the local
newspaper or via any of the many online article directories.

3. You can also have contact with people with the same
interest as you in your particular niche you choose, so you
will eventually build up a bank of questions and answers
and interesting discussions to write about in your blog.

To do this, join forums related to your niche, but don’t
join every forum there is out there. Stick with one or two
of the most focused and most popular in your niche. This
will also come in handy much later in gaining traffic and
generating profits.

4. Get automation tools do all the work. Today it is possible
to automate and optimize your blog… practically hands free!

Above all, you must keep up your momentum of posting at
least once per day (or more if you have a lot of content to
write about) to entice your readers to keep coming back
each day to see what is new.

Doing this will also attract the attention of the search
engines as they will recognize that you are updating your
blog with fresh content everyday - and they just LOVE this.

So the added bonus is that your blog will get spidered on
a more frequent basis and when this happens you have a
higher chance of getting extra traffic from the search
engine listings.

5 Ways That Articles Can Grow Your Business

In today’s highly competitive online community, the
importance of attracting highly targeted traffic to your
website cannot be overemphasized. Driving visitors to your
site
can be your only means of survival, especially in the
cutthroat world of online marketing.

However, getting a high search engine ranking can be very
difficult. Fortunately there is an almost unlimited number
of strategies you can use to drive traffic to your site.

These strategies include anything from ezine advertising
to affiliate marketing, however the downside is that most
of these techniques come at a cost. Nevertheless, there are
ways to promote your website and increase your traffic
without spending anything.

Writing articles is without question one of the most
effective web site promotion strategies you can use and I
strongly suggest you seriously consider using article as
part of your overall marketing plan.

Here are the top seven ways in which writing articles can
help improve your web traffic and grow your profits:

1. More Reach

You can post your articles on your website or you can
submit them to other sites such as ezines directories to
leverage your reach. Submitting your articles to these
sites gives exposure not only to your ideas but also to
your website.

You can also submit your articles to popular ezines and
take advantage of their popularity. Other sites who find
your article relevant may also link back to you. Thus you
increase your link popularity, which is one of the most
important strategies in the Internet world.

Remember that most people are looking for information
online and by filling this need with your article you may
reap the benefit of more exposure and higher web traffic.

2. Effective No-Cost Advertising

Submitting your articles and allow other site owners to
publish your work presents an opportunity to advertise your
website without paying exorbitant fees.

Although you should avoid marketing language in your
articles and make it informative and useful to your
readers, you can always include your site’s link in the
resource box. In addition, by making your article relevant
and helpful to your readers, you are branding yourself as
an expert in your niche, which could ultimately lead to a
visit and hopefully a purchase.

Good quality content in an article is far better and more
effective than a few lines of ad space as you have a very
special opportunity to pre-sell your product or service to
your prospective customer.

3. Higher Search Engine Rankings

It’s no secret that search engines love fresh unique
content. If this content is on your site and it’s highly
relevant to the topic of your niche, then the search
engines will reward you with a higher ranking.

So while your main aim is to make your article as
informative as you can for your readers, you should also
optimize it so that it acts as spider food for the search
engines.

You can do this by including long-tailed keywords in your
article and by fully utilizing all your on-page techniques
to attract the search engine spiders.

Making your article keyword rich you can greatly improve
the search engine ranking of your site. Remember that
keyword density is one of the most important factors that
search engines use when determining the search engine
ranking of site.

However, you should always provide relevant, useful and
pertinent information. Avoid the temptation of overusing
keywords just to gain a high ranking as this may turn off
most web surfers. A good keyword density is 5%-7%.

Relevance and quality is still the most important things
to consider when writing articles and it will be doubly
useful to your site if you make your articles attractive
for the spiders.

Never forget that content that is optimized for the search
engines is a very effective strategy to gaining higher
rankings - so use it to your greatest benefit whenever you
can!

4. Increases Your Link Popularity

Link popularity is one of the factors used by search
engines in determining search engine rankings. In simple
terms, link popularity is measured by the number of pages
linking back to your site and articles are a key method of
getting one-way links to your site.

But instead of looking for other sites who would want to
establish reciprocal links with you, simply submit your
article to other sites. When websites pick up and publish
your article, you automatically get a link partner.

The key is to make your article especially useful and
appealing, so that more websites will be encouraged to
publish it.

5. Build Your Reputation and Credibility

By writing excellent, original and relevant articles you
not only give your site exposure, you are also creating a
good impression on your prospects. Encourage more people to
visit your site and do business with you by establishing an
impressive reputation through your articles. Be seen as an
expert in the field and your will ultimately gain more
customers eager to do business with you.

In this highly competitive world, excellent credibility
and trust may be the only things you need to attract new
customers or make loyal patrons out of your existing
customers. Original, relevant, useful and pertinent
articles are important tools you should utilize to improve
and grow your business.

Why Pre-selling Generates More Sales

In simple terms, pre-selling is the work you should start
doing before you release and sell your product - naturally
that’s why it’s called pre-selling.

You need to build up anticipation and to convince your
potential customers that your product or service has great
benefits that would solve the problems they may be facing
so that they are in the buying mood before they reach your
product site.

Pre-selling is not only about selling your product, it’s
also about selling yourself to your readers and customers.

When you sell yourself to the customer, you are making
your customers think “okay, this guy is not one of those
greedy marketers. He’s actually here to help me.” so that
they will let their guard down and listen to your sales
pitch.

Pre-selling is also the art of building up anticipation.

For instance - if a friend told you his chronic headache
has been solved overnight by “some new medicine” but did
not mention what it really was, would that leave you
wondering what the medicine really is? Particularly if you
suffer from chronic headache yourself!

That’s why by mentioning a benefit that has the power to
solve your prospects’ problems or able to satisfy their
needs - without revealing what the solution is - will get
your prospects dying to hear what you have to say next as
you reveal slightly more about the solution each time.

When you finally uncover the whole ‘box and dice’, your
prospects will be crawling all over your website looking
for the buy button!

However, pre-selling is not just about unveiling your
product bit by bit. In fact, that is only one of the
various ways one can pre-sell.

For example, you might run a weekly newsletter on acne
problems and coincidentally you have just written this
great ebook called “10 Ways to Solve Acne Woes Once and
For All”.

In your newsletter, you can pre-sell by including a
snippet or two from your ebook and mention that it as a
viable solution to acne problems. If people get good advice
from your newsletter, they will perceive you as an expert
on acne problems and naturally will be curious to find out
the ways you can teach them to solve their problems.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to giving value
to people before you ask people to buy something from you.
If you can help people to solve their problems and earn
their trust, they will more often than not be very willing
to buy products from you.

A Simple Strategy for Profiting in Niche Markets

Smart marketers are earning significant part-time incomes
simply by selling ebooks or reports every week. I’m noting
talking pocket change - some are making well over $1k a
month in their spare time.

And the most interesting part is that most of these people
are far from being considered experts in relation to the
reports they are selling. In fact some have no involvement
in the topics they’re targeting. So basically anyone can do
it.

So, how are they doing this?

It’s simple really - and that’s why it works so well…

As I mentioned - you don’t need to be an expert or an
authority on any topic or subject. So this technique will
work for just about any niche market you want to target.

The strategy is to create short 5-10 page mini-reports and
then sell them via Adwords campaigns or on eBay!

Here’s what you need to do…

First off - go to sites such as Amazon, Clickbank or even
eBay! to see which books in your chosen topic are most
popular and selling well. Your aim is to create a short
ebook or report about a specific topic within these niche
markets.

That’s it. Anyone can do this!

Here’s an example…

Suppose there’s a book on the Amazon bestsellers list that
explains what you need to look for when buying a used car.
All you need to do is to write a report based on this
subject.

But here’s the most important part of this simple formula…

You’re going to do it the smart way so that you can have
your report created in as little as a few days, without
having to know a single thing about your subject.

Here’s how…

Once you’ve decided on your topic, go to your favorite
search engine and search to see if there are any private
label articles or reports available on your subject, in
this example we are targeting the buying a used car niche
market.

If you find any products or articles you can purchase them
and then use the content in any way you choose to create
your own short report. With private label rights you have
the right to alter the content in any way you choose, so
there’s no problem with copyright

For example, you could create a report that explains the
top 10 tricks and scams you need to look for when
purchasing a used car to ensure you don’t get lumbered with
a lemon. So you would search for tips on this subject and
compile them into a short report.

Then it would only be a matter of designing some graphics
and creating a simple mini-site to promote the benefits of
your report and then begin sending visitors to your site by
using Adwords or something similar.

Alternatively you could list your report on eBay and sell
it directly from there for some quick profits. If you choose
this option, just be aware that reports or ebooks on
eBay sell very cheaply so you will need to price it at
about $5 - $7 to be competitive.

If you’re just starting out and you’re a little short on
funds, an inexpensive alternative is to search article
directories for articles on your topic. Then you can modify
these articles
into your words and compile them into a
report.

But a word of warning…

If you choose to do this, DO NOT under any circumstance
copy the articles for your own purposes. This is a
violation of copyright and it is unlawful. The only purpose
of searching for articles is to get some ideas that you
can put into your own words.

This is just a very quick example of using the power of
niche marketing to generate a part-time income, but if
you’re deadly serious you could repeat this same process
over and over again to begin creating a substantial online
income.

Effective Marketing Strategies
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

A Better Strategy - SEO or PPC?

Which is the better strategy for your online business -
SEO or PPC?

The simple answer is if used correctly, both strategies
can help you build a very profitable online business. Each
technique has it’s own advantages, so you need to balance
the two to gain the maximum benefits each offer.

SEO is more of a long term strategy so you shouldn’t be
kick-starting a new business and expect an instant flow of
traffic from the search engines.

On the other hand, PPC is an excellent short term strategy
as you have the ability to laser target your visitors and
instantly drive traffic to your site - so this is a great
method that you can use until you start to see traffic
flowing in from other methods, such as SEO.

Now with SEO you don’t always have to wait months and
months before receiving traffic. With the proper niche
research and marketing you can start getting visitor within
days. Once your site is crawled regularly, you can put a
page up and have them indexed in days.

While it can take longer that other methods, SEO is
definitely not a waste of time, unless you don’t plan on
being in this game for a long time. You just need to
implement the right measures and be patient.

SEO is a tough game no matter how you look at it. You can
be at the top of the search engine results pages one month
and drop out of site the next. In fact, I’ve seen people
who have held a #1 position for their keyword for years and
suddenly disappear all together overnight.

Now this hurts at the best of times, but it’s even worse
if you place 100% of your efforts in this one area and
depend on it for your entire income. As they say,
diversification is a good thing and online marketing is no
different.

Of course SEO and PPC aren’t the only ways to market
online… some people do neither and still make a ton of
money.

There is no predicting what the search engines will do.
They will always mess with their algorithms to try to give
their users the best experience they can by providing the
most relevant results for their searches. So you need to
factor this into your marketing.

It’s not uncommon to one day have 50 keywords ranked high
and the next day they disappear. Then two months later you
will begin to see visitors from those keywords when your
keywords get re-listed again.

SEO has changed a lot in the last 12 months and will
continue to evolve in the future, so it is very risky to
rely on it for your revenue. I’ve seen it happen - huge
revenue generating websites dropping out completely and
being placed in the “sandbox” - what a bummer that has to
be!

It’s not my intention to discourage anyone from practicing
SEO. I probably made it sound impossible. It’s not. It
certainly is an incredible way to get free traffic. And any
free traffic is good traffic.

You just need to use a range of marketing methods to limit
your risk and protect the long-term sustainability of your
online business so that you can endure anything the search
engines throw at you in the future.

The 60 Second Weekly Tip
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Your Reputation Is All You Have Online - Don’t Blow it

When all is said and done, most people create an online
business for one purpose -to make money. Some want to make
a few extra bucks, others want to make a full-time income.

But regardless of everyone’s individual goals, I think you will
agree that we all want to make additional income from our
online businesses.

In order to do this you need to sell. Whether it’s a
product, a services or just to get someone to take a
desired action - it’s all about being able to sell whatever
it is your promoting.

So needless to say that it is very important to use
powerful selling words to really convey each and every
little benefit of your product to convince your visitors to
take action.

And it is not uncommon to see popular trigger words like
“unbelievable” and “sensational” or other similar words in
most great salesletters.

There is a fine line in using hype on your sales pages and
if used responsibly it can indeed be a powerful tool that
can explode your conversion rates and skyrocket your
profits. Notice the hype I used then. :)

However there are a number of marketers who cross this
line and purposely use hype to mislead their readers. For
example:

Not so long ago a fellow colleague of mine contacted me and
asked me to check out his new website where he was
promoting a new ebook he had just created on earning an
income from selling, say, red widgets.

When I visited his site the first thing that interested me
was his sales copy The salesletter was very good in that it
targeted my emotions and promised that “everything I have
ever wanted” could be obtained just by purchasing the ebook
and implementing what I learned.

The salesletter also gave the impression that the author
owned a garage full of sports cars, luxurious mansions and
he spent most of their time on tropical holidays by the sea.

But I know this colleague personally. He is actually an
electronics salesman struggling to make ends meet and is
looking to make quick buck by flogging off a report he
complied using public domain information.

Naturally the alarm bells immediately started to go off
and needless to say that in my view his reputation has
taken a severe noise dive and I now have little trust in
him. And I’m sure others have also now got the same view.

But I can only guess how many naive visitors may have been
fooled into thinking this person was an authority on this
subject and were sucked in to parting with the money.

The sad fact is that this is not an isolated case. There
are hundreds of online marketers with low ethical standards
who are waiting to take your hard-earned money by using
hype to embellish the truth.

So the moral of this story is that if you’re selling
anything online line, your reputation and the trust of your
potential customers is EVERYTHNING. Your reputation is all
you have and if it is tarnish for whatever reason, it is
quite possible that your online business will never recover.

Whilst it is ok to use a small amount of hype to encourage
your readers to check out what it is you are promoting, you
should never mislead your visitors into thinking you are
not who you say you are, or that your earning capacity is
not what it really is.

Your reputation is all you have online - so don’t blow it!

Overdelivering Your Way to Greater Success

As an online marketer your customers do not know you. They
cannot see your face. They cannot hear your voice when you
are recommending your products, and they cannot see or feel
your emotions when you are telling them about the benefits
of your products.

The Internet is now a world game and it offers a level
playing field for anyone out there who has a computer. This
connectivity means that you have the potential to reach
every individual in the world. You are no longer limited by
normal geographical constraints. Basically anyone can be
your virtual customer!

The only problem with this new age of connectivity is that
your competitors have the very same opportunities as you
do. No longer are you only competing with your neighbours,
you’re also in competition with every marketer in your
niche around the world.

So it is extremely important that your customers have a
satisfying experience everytime they contact you or make a
purchase from you. You need to offer a high level of
service and satisfaction in order to keep them coming back
as repeat customers. A very successful method of doing this
is to overdeliver on your promises.

When every competitor of yours has access to everyone in
the market, your only way of winning the battle is to
overdeliver - again and again and again!

When you overdeliver you gain your customers trust and
position yourself as a person with their interest at heart.
In other words, you become a trusted friend and not a greed-
driven marketer looking for a quick buck.

In a nutshell, overdelivering is a simple but very
effective method of differentiating yourself from your
competitors!

So in what ways can you overdeliver to your customers?

You can start overdelivering by providing simply things
that won’t cost you a single penny, like fast and courteous
support where you answer any queries or concerns in as fast
and friendly manner as you possible can.

This may not sound much, but ask yourself…

How many times have you been turned away with
unsatisfactory answers when asking about a certain product
you purchased?

How many times have you received fantastic response to
your queries before you purchased an item, yet you had to
wait days or weeks to get a reply once you actually made
the purchase?

Compare that with the number of times you have been
provided good service, as if you’re being helped by a
personal friend - even after you bought the product.

The ratio of good experience compared to poor experiences
are just way out there proving how scarce good customer
support really is.

By providing excellent support to your customers and
providing quality responses to their queries you will gain
customers that are fiercely loyal to you because they know
you have their best interest at heart.

There’s no question that when you provide excellent
customer support you’re already ahead of most of your
competitors. But let’s take it a step further and think
what other ways can you overdeliver.

Another excellent and cost effective method is to provide
your customers an unadvertised bonus when they make a
purchase from you. People just love to receive more than
they paid for - so use this to your advantage!

For example, if someone buys a fishing reel you could
throw in a bonus fishing lure. But the secret to this
technique is not to mention the bonus as an incentive for
your visitors to purchase your product on your sales page.

You can offer other bonuses on your sales page if you
like, but you should never mention the bonus you’re going
to use as the surprise element. This way when they receive
your extra bonus it will be a total surprise and it will
have the potential to build great trust with your customers.

Another method is to build a long-lasting relationship
with your customers.

If a customer buys regularly from you, it’s a good idea to
send greeting cards on their birthday or on special
holidays or events. Your customer will again remember you
as a friend, and not as a business associate. And due to
the warm relationship you have built with them they will
remember you above your competitors when they are again in
the buying mood.

So, start developing your strategy to begin overdelivering
to your customers today to achieve greater success!

How to Keep Your Visitors Coming Back for More

In today’s online environment where content is king you
have to continually provide fresh unique website content
that is relevant to your topic in order to achieve any
reasonable search engine ranking. This is where blogging
can form an important strategy in your overall marketing.

Including a blog as part of your site structure has proven
to be a very successful strategy as it allows you to
provide fresh unique content on a regular basis to act as
seach engine fodder for the spiders. Plus it gives your
visitors a reason to keep coming back to your site to see
what new content about their niche subject has been added.

However, you need to ensure that the information your
provide is both informative and useful to your readers,
otherwise it defeats the whole purpose of the exercise.

So with this in mind, today we’re going to discuss the
type of content that is most suitable for your blog in
order to make it profitable and to keep your visitors
coming back for more - day after day after day!

First off, you need to understand that there is no fixed
framework that your blog should follow. This is a personal
choice and therefore you can write about whatever it is
you’re interested in.

However, the difference between a successful blog and a
blog that bombs out big time is the style in which your
content is written. For instance, would you prefer to read
a precise on quantum physics or the latest fishing magazine?

More than likely you would prefer to read the fishing
magazine because it appeals to your interest or because it
is far less mind-numbing than a boring lecture on quantum
physics. (Sorry if you’re a science geek ;))

The point I’m trying to make is that most people don’t
like to read anything that is too “heavy”, so you need to
write in a style that is “light” yet informative.

You see, when your visitors reach your blog they are not
only looking for information - they are also looking for
information they can obtain easily and in a relaxed manner.

So to attract more visitors, as well as to keep your site
sticky to entice your visitors to keep coming back for
more, it is very important to add a human touch to your
blog posts.

This can be done by simply imagining you’re talking about
a certain topic one-on-one with your personal friend and to
include a light-hearted sense of humor in your writings.
So don’t be afraid to add funny comments in your articles
where they are appropriate. :-)

Another important key point is to avoid addressing your
reader in the third party, ie you should not write as if
you’re preparing a speech to a crowded room.

You need to write as if you’re having a face-to-face
conversation with a friend. This will make your visitor feel as
if they are actually part of the conversation, rather than
reading a robotic comment from a person who is trying to
sell them something.

Besides that, it is also very useful to establish your own
personality through your comments. Human beings are very
curious creatures, so naturally your visitors would want to
know as much about you as the information you’re offering
them.

Just being yourself, rather than trying to be too official,
can make a huge difference as it can make you stand out
from your competitors. This is a lot like creating your own
brand name, where people immediately think about you when
they need to find out information about their topic - just like
how people could immediately think about Coke when they are
thirsty or Nike for sportswear.

So in summary, only ever provide unique fresh content on
your blog, structure your comments in a casual manner as if
you were talking to a friend and write in a face-to-face
style to establish your own personality on your blog.

Doing this will not only get the spiders interested in your blog,
it will also entice your visitors to keep coming back to your site
to read the latest news or information on your chosen topic.

The 60 Second Weekly Tip
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

A Good Reason to Start Your Own Online Newsletter

Publishing your own periodical newsletter can be one of
the most profitable businesses you can do online without
incurring a high cost.

If you are considering starting your very own newsletter
or need to reaffirm your believe about the commonly uttered
mantra “the money is in the list”, then here is an
undisputed fact that may just surprise you…

…the truth is that owning a mailing list is more important
than owning your own the product.

Why is that?

Quite simply, if you do not own a mailing list then you do
NOT own a business. Since businesses, regardless of any
kind, involve people and your prospects are none other than
people themselves who are your potential customers.

And it’s common knowledge that people are more likely to
purchase something from a person the know and trust, than
from a complete strange they know nothing about.

So it’s no surprise to learn that the more times you
contact your readers with relevant information about their
own wants and needs, the greater the chance of building a
relationship with them.

In doing this, it is then much more likely that you will
gain the trust of your readers and when you send them an
email endorsing various products the more likely it is that
you will make a sale.

Not only this, but if you would frequent forums often you
will be well aware that product owners often want to co-
operate with mailing list owners who have a list of
prospects they want to create joint venture opportunities.

While some product owners offer attractive incentives and
commissions to mailing list owners, the point I want to
drive home is that product owners need the mailing list
owner more than the other way round.

And mailing list owners are much rarer than product
owners, since products (even great ones) are created almost
everyday and great mailing list owners don’t come by on the
same frequency.

Once you start to build your own mailing list and begin to
build a reputation online, you will find yourself flooded
being with heaps of offers from other list owners inviting
you to partner with them to promote their products or
services.

Do You Have A Linking Strategy?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can be the difference
between a small, barely profitable or visible website and a
traffic magnet website. There are a lot of ways, both good
and bad, to influence the search engines. Some search
engines react to certain strategies better than others.
Some even have conflicting strategies that they react to.

To document all of these things would require a significant
number of pages and research that goes beyond the scope of
this article.

However, there are a number of things that can be
documented that will work for most if not all search engines.
And let’s face it; there are really only 3 that make a difference
between a successful and an unsuccessful SEO strategy.
They are the big three: Google, Yahoo and MSN. These three
search engines in any given month are responsible for over
90% of all Internet searches.

So, what is this article about? It’s about what you can do
as a website owner that will influence the search engines
using commonly accepted practices of linking to other
websites (outbound) and getting website links (inbound)
back to you.

There are basically 4 strategies that a website owner
usually will employ to increase their website value in the
eyes of the search engine.

They are reciprocal linking, one-way linking, multi-site
linking and directory linking. A website owner should not
think that using just a single strategy is the right answer
- sure it will help your SEO but it won’t be the Best answer.
The Best answer is to employ all 4 techniques and to do it
naturally.

Each of the four linking strategies has specific descriptions
that can be summed up as:

1. Reciprocal Linking = Site A links to Site B, Site B
links back to Site A

2. One-Way Linking = Site B links to Site A

3. Multi-Site Linking = Site A links to Site B, Site B
links to Site C, Site C links to Site D, and Site D
links back to Site A. Could be 3..N number of sites
involved.

4. Directory Linking = Site Directory A links to Site A

That seems simple enough but it takes time and effort to
perform all 4 strategies and most website owners aren’t
willing to spend the time or don’t have the time to spend
on it. As a website owner, SEO needs to be one of the
highest priority tasks that you need to address, just after
Order Processing and Fulfillment and Customer Service.

Without free traffic from the search engines, other
traffic generation strategies that usually require payment
must be engaged.

Now doing the 4 strategies above is great, but it gets
even harder because you have to do it in a way that doesn’t
trigger the search engines to enforce a penalty upon your
website. No one except the search engine engineers know all
of the exact penalties but we have some good theories for
some of them.

The first is the rate at which links are created. There is
a certain threshold for creating links that is too fast.
It’s possible that the threshold is a sliding scale and is
related to the age of the website according to the engine.

For example, a young low-traffic website should not
normally be getting 1000 links a month whereas an older
website that gets a lot of traffic could be OK to get 1000
links a month. As you progress in your linking strategies
make sure you keep this in mind, especially if you are
thinking about buying links.

The second is that having a link to every site that links
to you will likely reduce the value of the links. In other
words, if all you ever get is Reciprocal Linking, you will
likely move up the SERP’s (Search Engine Results Page’s)
but you won’t reach your sites full potential. Having a
mixture of all 4 strategies will appear more natural to the
engines.

The third is having all inbound links to your site on
“linking” pages will make those links less valuable than
having a natural link on a contextually relative page for a
percentage of the inbound links. The higher you can drive
this context percentage, the better your website will rank.

These types of links are often some of the most difficult
links to generate an exchange for because it requires more
time and effort for both website owners.

The fourth is to have links inbound from all different
ranking sites. If all you have linking to you is page rank
6 and 7 sites then you are likely to be sending the message
that you purchased your links and that is not natural to
the engines. Some would argue that purchasing links for
driving traffic is just fine and it is.

However, you should not expect the search engines to give
those inbound links very much weight when calculating your
SERP positions. It is significantly more natural for you to
have a large number of rank 1 and 2 inbound links and a
decreasing number of inbound links as you move up the page
rank scale (0 - 10).

The fifth is to have the text of you inbound links varied.
It isn’t natural to have every website that links to you to
have the same text on the link description.

The natural tendency would be to have a certain percent be
the sites name, but after that it should be a wide variety
of description. Your link text description is a key factor
for how your site/page will rank, so make sure that you
keep that in mind as you specify your preferred link text
description on your website.

Finally, it would be best for a good percentage of your
inbound links to appear within the text of a page that
appears natural for the reader of that site. And for those
links to not all point back to the home page of your
website. It’s most natural for a good high quality link to
appear in the text of a page and have it point internally
within your site.

So, when you begin or continue your SEO activities keep
all of these things in mind and don’t be impatient.
Impatience could incur penalties or worse. Your website
could end up in the “sandbox”.

It is rumored and becoming more concrete that Google
supposedly uses a sandbox that questionable sites are put
in until they have aged to a point that Google no longer
feels that they are being manipulated. Many of the search
engines use similar protection schemes to eliminate spam
sites and manipulation sites to keep their SERP’s from
being cluttered.

How to Write Articles Using Proven Successful Models

Writing articles is a fantastic way to brand yourself, plus
it’s a great method of sending traffic to your chosen
website.

But you need to understand that articles aren’t ads.
Writing an article that is full of ads promoting your
product simply doesn’t cut it. It needs to contain quality
content that is both informative and entertaining.

An article’s true purpose is not to sell product., it is
to promote your website and position you as either an
expert or a person to be trusted within your niche market
(preferably both).

No matter what your Internet business is, you are in a
crowded field. There are dozens, even hundreds, of other
websites offering products or services similar to yours.
Providing knowledge in the form of articles helps people
realize that you know what you’re talking about, and gives
them good reasons to buy from you rather than your
competitors.

So remember - an article is not an advertisement.

With this in mind, you may now be wondering exactly what
it is you should be writing articles about.

Here’s the good news - articles are flexible. You can
write an article on just about any topic, as long as you
can relate it in some way to your website and your products
or services.

Following are just a few examples of the many forms an
article can take.

- How-to:

Perhaps the most popular type of article is one that
explains how to do something, get something, use something
or find something.

For example, if you’re running an Internet business you
could probably write an article giving people advice on how
to start a small business from home. Think about your area
of specialty and list some things you can do that most
people might not know, but would like to learn.

- Opinion:

Whatever industry or type of business you work in, there
are always breaking developments, new products, or business
advances. You can write an article focusing on an emerging
aspect of your business, and offer your opinion on how it
will affect the industry.

- Personal/inspirational story:

Almost everyone has a compelling reason they went into
business for themselves. Consider writing an article or
series of articles about why you chose the path you did and
what problems or successes you had on your journey.

You can make it humorous, or inspirational, or both. Human
interest stories are a popular article format.

- Book excerpt or condensation:

If you’re selling a book, ebook or ecourse you’re in luck,
you have articles built in to your product. You can offer
your website visitors a free sample chapter, or write a
condensed article based on one of the ideas in your book.

Book excerpts also make great articles and if you use PDF
format to post an excerpt it can easily be passed around
via email.

- Top ten lists:

Many engaging articles are centered around a list concept.
And you don’t have to use the number ten; any number will
do. A couple of good examples are “The Seven Habits of
Highly Successful People” or “The Five People You Meet in
Heaven.”

Yes these are books, but the concept for articles is the
same. Fore example, if your website is geared for business
people, you might write an article about the six features
you need in a good PDA or SmartPhone.

You can write articles on any subject to get people
interested in finding out what else you have to say. But
always remember…

…people read articles to be entertained, get ideas or
learn something they didn’t know before, so stay away from
making your articles sound like advertisements!

Blunders That Can Destroy Your Online Success

Here are 4 of the biggest mistakes that new marketers make
that you need to avoid if you want to achieve long-term
online success…

Blunder #1

One of the biggest mistake you can make as an Internet
marketer is to try to handle too much of the day-to-day
running of your business yourself.

While in the beginning when your business is small it may
be ok to handle the workload yourself, as your business
grows it will result in you spending far too much time
handling a wide range of non-money making issues…

…and not enough time on tasks that actually earn you
profits!

Lesson learned - You need to develop a plan to outsource
most of the day-to-day tasks associated with the running of
your business!

This way you can spend more time on the things that
directly put moolah in your pocket, such as marketing,
finding JV’s and building your list.

Blunder #2

Another mistake inexperienced marketers make is that they
try to develop, write and create new products themselves.

Having your own product is one of the keys to creating a
mega successful business, so I strongly suggest you give
series consideration to developing your own product. But if
you do it all yourself it won’t give you a real chance to
market each product properly and the end result will be
less than acceptable.

Plus you will lose focus on the services or products you
may already have and as a result this could cost you loads
of money in lost profits that you leave on the table.

So, what can you learn from this mistake?

Once you get an idea for a product, forget about creating
it yourself!

Hire someone else to do the work for you and spend the
time you save on creating a detailed marketing plan for
every single product or service you have and then implement
this plan regardless of what else comes your way.

And if you create more than one new product (which is
highly advisable), don’t create them too close together.
Give yourself time to ensure your existing products are
established before you start your next project!

Blunder #3

Losing focus on building your subscriber list.

By doing too much of the hard slog yourself you can lose
focus on building your list.

This is a cardinal sin in marketing. Everyone knows that
the money is in the list and it’s just inexcusable if you
fail to concentrate more on this hugely important task.

Without a loyal subscriber list, you’re kidding yourself
if you think you can create a successful online business.

It’s simple economics. The larger your list and more
responsive your list, the more money you will make.

Don’t ever forget this!

Lesson learned - You’ve got the build the hell out of your
list!

Do whatever it takes, but build the biggest, baddest, most
loyal list you possibly can in the time you have. There’s
just no way to sugar-coat it - without a list you’re doomed
to fail.

This brings us to the last big mistake…

Blunder #4

Most inexperienced marketers send too many promotional
emails to their list and not enough quality content!

You MUST value the loyalty of your subscribers with utmost
respect and that is why you must do everything you can to
continue to earn the trust of your list.

You have to understand that if you want your subscribers
to trust you and follow your recommendations, then you’ve
got to treat them right. And simply sending them promotion
after promotion is NOT the way to treat them right.

Lessons learned - You must focus on sending your readers
quality content that will show them how they can benefit
from their chosen niche!

Don’t get me wrong. You’re in this game to earn an income,
so you still need to send promotions to your list. Just
ensure there is a good balance between pure content and
promotions.

Search Engine Optimization Techniques 101

Search engine optimization is important for getting a
higher ranking on search engines - and thus more exposure
to your website.

However, it can be very expensive to engage the services
of search engine optimization specialists to take care of
this for you. In fact, some large companies pay many
thousands of dollars just to get their websites to rank
higher in Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Of course not everyone has this kind of money in their
budget to spend on SEO, and as such most people choose to
do this themselves.

Just be aware that achieving a high ranking is not easy,
but if you have more time than money then naturally this is
the preferred method.

To help you get started, here are 6 things you need to do
to optimize your website to give yourself a fighting chance:

1. Title Tag

The title tag is the most powerful on-site search engine
optimization you have, so use it creatively. What you place
in the title tag should include the keywords that you are
trying to optimize your page for.

And most importantly - every single web page should have
its own title tag!

2. Alt Tag

The Alt tag is the text for an image. When you move your
mouse over an image and it shows some text, you’re seeing
an alt tag.

While you need to put your main keywords in these alt
tags, don’t abuse this technique. If you do, it may be seen
by the spiders as trying to spam the search engines and
this will cause your site to be penalized, which may result
in a drop in your rankings.

3. Link Popularity

Link popularity is one of the most important off-page
search engine optimization technique you can carry out, so
you should place a huge emphasize on this in your overall
strategy.

You need to request links constantly from highly related
website to increase your link popularity - plus you need to
write and submit articles, participate on forums and post
on niche related blogs to obtain as many “one-way” links
pointing to your site as you can.

When your website popularity increases, many people will
want to exchange links with you. Make sure your potential
link partners do not have a website that competes with you,
and never exchange links with link farms (websites with
only links and no content) as this can hurt your rankings.

4. Keyword Density

Keyword density is the number of times your keywords
appear on your page expressed as a percentage to the rest
of the text on the page.

This optimization factor is rather important. If it is too
high, it may be considered as spam by the search engines.
Conversely if it is too low, the search engines won’t
recognize it as a content worthy page.

There is no magic figure when it comes to how many
keywords you should have in each page of your site, but a
common theory is that you should try to have a keyword
density of between 3-5%, while still maintaining a good flow
that makes sense and sounds completely natural to your
visitors.

To improve your keyword density you should use the
appropriate keywords in the title tag, in your the heading
tags, and in bold or italic text in your body.

5. Keyword Relevance

Keyword relevance is where on your page you keywords
appear and this can have a profound affect on your rankings.

You should try to place your main keyword in your
headings, sub-headings using the h1 and h2 tages. Plus in
is also advisable to include your keywords at the beginning
and end of your content, with a natural sprinkling in
between.

Search engine optimization rules can change anytime and
will result in an increase or decrease in your rankings, so
it is recommended that you never solely rely on search
engine optimization as your only method of driving traffic
to your site.

To maintain a steady traffic to your site, you should use
a number of traffic generation methods to ensure your long-
term success - it’s the safest way!

Effective Marketing Strategies
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

How to Instantly Find Highly Motivated Customers

If you’re relatively new to the net and aren’t yet
receiving a constant flow of traffic to your website, then
you need a method of promoting yourself and your products
to the world so that you can start to see some profits.

One of the quickest and most cost effective forms of
online advertising is placing solo ads in ezines. Using
this method you can instantly drive targeted traffic to
your website as opposed to other longer term methods.

If you’re unsure what a solo ad is, it’s an advertisement
that promotes a single product by email to a list of ezine
subscribers. It is normally sent to an optin subscriber
list with no other competing advertisements or promotion
contained in the email.

You can purchase solo ads for as little as $10 per issue
and if you have an effective ad copy for the appropriate
audience it can often produce astonishing results.

If you select a high quality ezine that has a responsive
list, is highly targeted to your product and your ad is
personally endorsed by the owner of the ezine, the pulling
power of the ad can increase up to 10 times the normal
response rate.

There just isn’t anywhere else that you can get this kind
of “bang for your buck” when it comes to spending money on
your marketing.

By testing and tracking your ads and expanding into
different ezines on a progressive basis you could quickly
start reaching thousands of people weekly and earning an
income to match.

But this begs the questions - in which ezines should you
place your solo ad?

Unfortunately due to the hundreds of different niche
markets there is no easy answer to this question.

However I will outline the following tips to help you
decide which ezine is the best suited to your niche to
advertise in from a money and marketing perspective.

First of all let me tell you something that is fairly
obvious yet I see it happen day after day after day.

It is pointless to advertise your product or service in
an ezine that is totally unrelated to your product!

For example… you should not place your ad promoting a
stockmarket program in an ezine about dog grooming. Sure
you might get some replies. You may even receive an order.
But if you want value for money this is not a good place
to advertise. It’s just not targeted to your potential
customers!

The best thing to do is to find ezines that focus on a
similar niche to that of the products or services you are
selling.

If you were promoting a marketing membership site, your
potential customers are people who are either looking for
home based opportunities, someone wanting to start an
online business or existing Internet business owners.

So the most obvious place to start is to search for
ezines that focus on these niches.

Of course the best place to advertise is where the
competition is. If your competition is promoting their
products in an ezine you can bet that it is targeted to
their (and your) niche. So do your homework.

What results should you expect from running a solo ad?

There’s no set figure as to the type of response you
should receive with solo ads. Because of other variables
that influence your results, such as a poorly written ad,
type of products being advertised, timing, etc, it’s just
too hard to predict.

But a general rule of thumb is that if you can get at
least 5% of subscribers to click through to your site to
view your product then this is acceptable. So if an ezine
has a list of 10,000 subscribers you should be aiming for a
response rate of at least 500 visits to your website.

I have known some marketing campaigns to achieve as high
as a 60% response rate. So if you have crafted good ad copy
and marketed to a responsive ezine list you can obtain
tremendous results.

A handy tip is to ask the ezine owner for the details of
other website owners who have advertised with them. Then
you can send them a quick email politely asking them if
they were happy with the results of the solo ad they placed
with this ezine and whether they would recommend you use
them.

Another key factor on the success of your campaign will be
determined by how targeted the email list is. In other
words, how did the list owner attract their subscribers.

Do they have an opt-in email list or did they simply
purchase bulk subscribers from a third party.

If most of these people did not ask to be placed on the
list, do they really care about reading the ezine when it
is sent to them or do they simply hit the delete button
when it arrives. Or even worse, will they scream “spam”.

So it is important to find out how different ezines get
their subscribers!

Another important factor to consider is how many issues
do they send out each week and what content do they provide.

If the ezine owner sends out 5 issues a week and all it
contains is advertising, you can bet your bottom
dollar that very few people will actually read the ezine.

I recommend you actually subscribe to the ezine so you
can view the contents and get a feel for the ezine to see
if it really does cater to your market. If you wouldn’t
bother to read the ezine yourself then there’s a good
chance your potential customers won’t either.

Whichever ezine you choose to advertise in it’s imperative
that you track and monitor your results. Very rarely do
you get it right the first time. You must continually test
and tweak your ad to get the maximum benefit from your
advertising dollar.

A Key Step to Becoming an Authority in Your Niche

Got a flair for writing? Then use it to your advantage.

There is a fantastic technique for generating website
traffic that has simply to do with writing short articles
that are keyword optimized.

The only question is where to publish these articles?
That’s simple - provide articles and reviews on your own
website!

The more content-rich your website becomes with real
articles and reviews, the more presence you’ll have on the
Internet, and the more your visitors will know that you
understand what you’re talking about.

Not only will you become much more visible on different
search engines and web directories, through the keyword
optimization, but you’ll also become a resource that your
visitors turn to when they want information about the
different products and services offered by your affiliate
companies.

This way, when they want what you’re offering, they’ll
come to your site to find out about it, and then use your
links to make the purchase.

This is one of the better techniques that you can use, as
it creates “regular” visitors and encourages word of
mouth. You will become seen among many visitors as the
authority on your particular topic, especially if you offer
reviews, as well as providing tons of food for search
engine spiders to gobble up as they index.

By adding to your website regularly, you also provide the
impression that you’re on top of all the latest
developments in your area, and that there is no need to
look elsewhere for the most recent information.

Of course, within these articles and reviews, you can’t
forget to include the appropriate affiliate links, as well
as referrals to other points of your own website.

7 Crucial Elements of Visitor Friendly Websites

It has been more than a decade since Internet marketing
and online service providers began and shoppers have
increased tremendously. People know where and how to get
things and they are able to find them and grab them fast.

Basically, most online buyers are in and out of their
virtual shopping trip instantly and want to get what they
are seeking easy. So, if you do not have what they are
looking for then they will be gone in an instant.

With this in mind, your goal is to keep them on your site
and get them to return. You want to get them to ultimately
to buy what it is you have.

If applied right, there are crucial elements that achieve
this for you. You must be sure to make sure you do all of
them. This will give you the results you want.

1. Consistency in your layout and navigation that promotes
  ease and interest…

There have been so many studies done on what people prefer
when going onto a site. This includes how they want things
laid out and what they expect to find.

For example, a white background with black text is the
most preferred and offers the easiest read.

You must also make sure that your site is easy to navigate
through and is consistent. Frequent visitors will get used
to your navigation system quickly, but you need to make
sure it is just as simple for first time visitors.

This is because online users look for the same navigation
points on each visit to bring them to specific pages and
back again. If they cannot find where they just came from
or where they were on a previous visit, they will leave. It
causes too much frustration for the user.

Also, make sure you use the same color scheme on all of
your pages. You want the reader to be interested but not
visually overloaded with too much design and color.

If you don’t believe you would be able to design your own
ask for help. You can pay a web master to build a tasteful
site for you. Or you can go with a pre-designed template
that is tasteful. Most web designing hosts offer several
templates to choose from and are easy to work with and
tweak to exactly what you want.Â

2. Clear copy and easy to read words equals more sales…

Be as clear as possible. No one wants to read a bunch of
nonsense and complicated technical jargon. Your targeted
audience won’t be interested in the entire technical lingo
and for most it simply confuses them and will make them
leave.

Focus on the benefits of your product by the use of
highlighting to make them stand out. Write from the heart
and show your clients you know what you are talking about
by making it easy to read.

Show them that you are an authority on this subject. You
want you readers to know that you truly know what you are
talking about and not just fluffing through it.  Â

3. Fast loading pages don’t frustrate your visitors…

You want to stay away from designs with heavy imagery. You
only have about 8 seconds to convince your visitors to stay
on your site, so you need your page to load as quickly as
possible.

Use text navigation for your site. If your page is too
long, then break it up appropriately. This will greatly
speed up your pages loading time so visitors don’t get
frustrated and just leave.

4. Headlines, taglines, and logos…

Use short headlines or calls to action on every page when
you can. These make visitors read further down the page.
Always use taglines through your pages to brand your site.
Put your logo on every page. This will further brand your
company and its products and/or services.

5. Use personal photos, addresses, phone numbers and build
  credibility…

The Internet is impersonal and as a result many won’t
purchase online in fear that there is no real person behind
it. People are very cautious on the things they cannot see
face-to-face. So it is your job to make yourself known and
ease some of their fears.

One of the best sure-fire ways to do this is to have your
company’s address and phone number on every page. If you
work from home then this would be either that address or a
PO box address you have set up for business.

People like to deal with real people and know that they
are truly there. Include a page about you and anyone else
working with you. Put up your photo and write a little
introduction of who you are and why you are here. This will
help you to gain instant credibility.

6. Audio greetings and customer testimonials…

There are plenty of great and easy to use audio tools
available these days. Create a short audio greeting. This
will help build much more credibility for your visitors to
hear a human voice. This one simple technique can help to
turn visitors into buyers.

Collect and use the testimonials from your previous
customers and place your best ones on your page. This will
show new visitors that you have been around for a while and
add credibility to your product and prove that you deliver
on what you promise in your sales page.

7. Be available and answer inquiries promptly…

When you receive emails inquiring about your product or

Getting the Most from Your Affiliate Marketing

There are thousands upon thousands of different affiliate
programs available to you across the world wide web, so
getting started with an affiliate program can sometimes
seem a bit daunting.

However, when you know what you’re looking for, you’ll
feel much more prepared to tackle this first major step.Â

Though many affiliate sites will give you the impression
that all that is required to enjoy affiliate program
success is plugging a link or a banner onto your website,
and the money will begin rolling in on its own, this is not
always the case. Usually, this is only the case if your
website already experiences massive amounts of daily
visitors.

For that reason, you’ll want to make certain to hook up
with affiliate program that offers products, services and
bargains that hold real attraction to the type of website
visitor you will be experiencing.

Once you have that set it’s up to you to get the word out
and draw as many people to your site as possible using a
number of different marketing techniques. Variety is the
key, both with the products you will offer and the
advertising you will perform.

Furthermore, once your audience has reached your site you
need to encourage them to click through your affiliate
links. Remember, your visitors need a very good reason to
click on a link or banner on your site. Otherwise they
won’t use it.

How do you do this?

Use a wide variety of the different banners and links
offered to you from the affiliate program so that you have
the highest chance of attracting people’s attention - no
matter what draws them.

My testing has found that if you use simple
straightforward links and banners you will experience much
more success than highly colorful and picture-filled
banners.

Remember, a 2% is considered doing pretty well so you will
need to do everything you can to get at least 2 out of
every 100 of your visitors to use your links.

So that brings us to the next question…

What is the best way to promote your affiliate program?

One of the best ways that you can maximize the performance
of your affiliate strategy is by way of direct promotion
via email, which usually consist of ezines or newsletters.

These are emails that recipients actually choose to
receive, by signing up to your list. This way you’ll be
able to create an information-based updates which you can
send directly to the readers inbox.

Naturally these updates should also contain snippets of
pure content that help your readers, such as summaries,
explanations, benefits and uses for different products or
services.

Within your newsletter you can create a great deal of
interest in the different products and services offered by
your affiliate program. They key here is to be subtle and
to create a desire within your readers to learn more, and
perhaps even buy.

And don’t forget, within each of your articles or
summaries, include your affiliate link for the product that
applies to that particular message.

The benefit in doing this is two-fold.

Not only do you have a perfect opportunity to promote the
products and services being sold through your affiliate
strategy (providing click-throughs and then sales with your
commissions), but your visitors will be reminded of your
site with each publication of your newsletter.

This then gives them a path to discover new products and
services that they may never have noticed on their own so
that you can further increase your exposure and sales.

This is your chance to speak out.

questions relating to your business, etc.

I use your comments in a future issue of the newsletter,
I’ll thank you by posting your address so that you can get
additional free traffic to your site.

Designing Your Website to Convert More Sales

One thing that a lot of website owners don’t seem to
understand is that there’s a big difference between the
kind of design you should use if you’re trying to present
information (usually with ads), and the kind of design you
should use if the aim of your website is to make sales.

This distinction causes a lot of confusion, bad design,
and ultimately, lost sales. If you’re trying to sell, then
there’s a whole other set of website design principles that
you need to follow.

- The Headline is Everything.

If you want your website to make sales for you, then the
first thing you need to pay attention to is the headline on
your sales page. It needs to be large, to stand out, and to
grab the visitors’ attention.

It should also give a clear benefit (not a feature) of
your product that you think would appeal to most people. If
you have a bad headline then people won’t even look at the
rest of what you’ve written - they’ll just press the back
button.

- Always Be Ready to Make the Sale.

As soon as a visitor gets to your product page, it should
be absolutely crystal clear what they’ve got to do to buy
the product. If it’s a long page, then ‘buy’ buttons should
be scattered throughout.

If a visitor could look at any part of your page and
wonder where they have to click to buy the product, then
there’s something fundamentally wrong with your website’s
design.

- Make Happy Customers Prominent.

On a sales page you should have a space for feedback that
has been left by previous customers, whether it’s in the
form of reviews or testimonials. This gives people an
opportunity to read a supposedly objective view of your
product, and makes them feel better about spending their
money on it.

Of course, this means that you need to solicit feedback
from previous customers to put in that space - a good way
of doing this is to offer rewards for customers who
contribute in this way.

- Pay Attention to Payment.

You need to make sure that your payment page - that is,
the page where you collect credit card details - is well
laid out and easy to use. Doing things like making it
difficult for customers to provide their details or making
it confusing to choose what kind of card you have is likely
to damage the customer’s confidence in you and your
website.

It is important that your order page should be
professional and standard - don’t be tempted to do anything
unusual with it.

- Highlight Special Bonuses.

To help persuade potential customers who are on the fence
about whether to buy or not to buy, you should take care to
highlight any special bonuses that purchasing your product
will give them. For example, a physical product might come
with free delivery, and a non-physical product might come
with a free ebook.

Don’t go overboard and have a ridiculous number of
bonuses, but do add enough to make the customer feel like
they’re getting very good value for their money.

- Keep It Simple.

When you’re creating a website that is going to be used to
sell products, you’ve got to keep things as simple as
possible on the technical side. That’s because the more
complicated functions you use, the more things there are
that could go wrong and stop them from buying anything from
you.

It’s better that people see a slightly less fancy website
than that they don’t see one at all because if they don’t
see your website then they won’t be doing any shopping
there.

To understand the basics of how ecommerce websites work
you should look at as many other websites as you can. Write
down the elements that they all seem to have in common -
for example, shopping carts - and you will gradually figure
out which things are essentials and which things are just
bells and whistles.

Your website should leave out everything but the
essentials, but make the essential things very easy to do.
That is the key so successful ecommerce design, and if you
can manage it then it will be very rewarding for you and
your website.

A Simple Method to Drive Traffic to Your Website

More and more webmasters have the recurring dilemma on how
to increase the flow of traffic to the websites. During the
past few years many methods have been developed to solve
this problem. While most of them work well, there are some
that aren’t worth the effort.

One of the methods that have spawned many success stories
in driving traffic to websites is viral marketing. Viral
marketing makes use of the tendency of a person to share
something they find informative, entertaining or amazing.
Many companies bank on this behavior to spread their
products and increase the popularity of their company or
their website.

Viral marketing makes use of many mediums in enticing this
behavior. It might be in the form of an interesting story,
an addicting flash game, an amusing video and many other
things that may catch a person’s fancy.

This ingenious form of marketing is typically low cost and
is a wonderful tool for any person to utilize. The benefit
greatly overshadows the cost or efforts to initialize this
marketing tactic. Virtually any website can greatly benefit
from viral marketing.

One of the easiest methods in viral marketing is using a
tell a friend script. This is a simple programming script
that you can attach to the programming of your website.

Generally, tell a friends scripts are installed in pages
where a media is placed so that a person can easily send
this media to any of his friends or his family members.

The basic concept of a tell a friend script is a script
where a person may input his name, email address, the
recipient’s email address and then send the media to the
intended recipient, much like an emmail with an attachment.

The reason this method is so effective is because the
email is usually from a friend of the recipient who they
know and trust. This being the case, the email is normally
opened without hesitation. Along with the mail would be a
brief description of the company or site that sponsored the
media and this allows for the introduction of either the
site or products.

When you add all this together it converts to a much
higher percentage of people viewing your offering. And
naturally included in the email is another tell a friend
script encouraging the reader to spread the word - and the
process begins again.

A tell a friend script is very simple and does not require
a complicated method of programming. In fact, you can copy
& paste a script and simply insert it on your webpage.

With a tell a friend script viral marketing strategy you
can drive traffic into your site which could potentially
spell profits. This is a simple harmless script that offers
great benefits for low cost, paired with great creativity
and foresight.

It is imperative that you have patience in using a tell a
friend script. If your chosen media doesn’t get the mileage
that is expected it may take some time before it gets
spread or shared. But if you keep testing and tweaking your
viral message there is great probability that you will
begin to see an increase in your traffic flow.

Variety in Your Marketing is the Key to Success

If you have already started your online business you
already know the huge potential email marketing offers.
However, you also likely realize it is unreasonable to
expect your business to thrive if email marketing is the
only marketing strategy you choose to build your business.

This is not unusual as most businesses do not typically
have a great deal of success unless they make the decision
to incorporate more than one type of promotion into their
overall marketing strategy.

So today we will examine a few other online marketing
strategies that may be used in conjunction with email
marketing.

Email marketing in itself can be multi-faceted. It may
include sending out regular content, distributing
newsletters and offering ecourses. Implementing only one of
these email marketing strategies may result in a small
increase in either website traffic or sales, but
implementing more than one strategy at a time can be much
more effective.

Similarly it is definitely worthwhile incorporating other
marketing techniques to grow your online business. This can
help you to enjoy a greater degree of success if you apply
these strategies correctly.

Some of the other marketing strategies you may wish to
employ include banner ads, participating in niche related
forums and starting an affiliate program.

Of these types of marketing, placing banner ads can be the
most expensive option. In many cases your business will
have to pay another website for the privilege of placing
your banner ad on their website.

Choosing a website which sells products which complement,
without competing, for your business is worthwhile.
However, there are some free options for banner ads
including exchanges.

This normally works by having to receive 2 or 3 banner
impressions on your own webpages each time your banner ad
appears on another persons site. Additionally, you may not
be able to control the type of website which displays your
banner ad. For this reason it is worthwhile to pay for ad
space so you can have more control over where your ads are
displayed.

Participating in niche forums or message boards can be
another way to promote your business online. Message boards
are online meeting place where likeminded people who share
a common interest meet to discuss issues and to provide
help to each other.

Most forums allow users to place a link to their website
in their signature line. If you regularly participate on an
these forums and include a signature line with a link to
your website you can reach a high concentration of members
of your target audience.

Just remember that when using forums or message baords to
promote your business it is important to follow all the
guidelines and to avoid techniques which may be deemed as
spam, such as posting your link when it is not appropriate.

Affiliate marketing programs are another type of online
marketing which can be used in conjunction with email
marketing. This involves allowing website owners to promote
your business to their list or to place your product on
their website.

These website owners are known as affiliates. Each time
one of their advertisements causes a visitor to purchase
your product, the affiliate is paid a commission. This
makes affiliate marketing incredibly cost effective as
essentially you do not pay for your advertising unless your
affiliates generate specific actions from their visitors,
such as making a purchase.

An often overlooked benefit of this strategy is that you
can use embedded codes to track your sales to determine
which promotional strategies are most effective. This
information can then be used to tweak your marketing
tactics for maximum profits.

How to Turbo-Charge Your Email Marketing Campaign

Email marketing can be a very effective way to reach a
target audience around the world. However, your marketing
efforts may not reach their full potential unless you
invest some time, energy and money into evaluating your
email marketing strategy.

During this evaluation you may determine whether or not
the email marketing is helping you to reach your goals.
Likewise you can determine if the email marketing is having
an adverse affect on your business.

To say that evaluating your email marketing strategy on a
regular basis is important is a tremendous understatement.
Regularly evaluating your email marketing is not only
important it is critical to the success of your business.

Failure to evaluate your email marketing strategies can
have adverse effects ranging from not producing results to
causing you to lose customers to your competitors.

Consider an email marketing campaign which is not
effective because it does not reach the members of your
target audience.

Some business owners make the fatal mistake of not taking
care to ensure their email distribution list targets
readers who are extremely interested in the products or
services you offer.

For example, business owners who take shortcuts by
purchasing large email lists, often find their shortcut did
not pay off because their readers are simply not interested
in the products or services you offer.

In this scenario the email marketing is likely to generate
very few sales or website visits. However, re-evaluating the
email distribution list to only include readers who are
highly targeted to your niche market will likely result in
significantly more sales and visitors.

Now consider a situation in which your email marketing is
being construed as spam by the recipients. If you have
taken precautions to ensure your emails are reaching your
readers, but your emails seem like over the top sales
pitches, the members of your email distribution list may
view your emails as spam and not take your content
seriously.

When this happens readers may be more likely to seek out a
competitor when they are in need of products or services
rather than making a purchase from you.

Evaluating your email marketing efforts may be formal or
informal in nature. If you have specific business goals in
mind you might want to consider whether or not you are on
the way to meet this goal as an indication of whether or
not the email marketing is working.

Asking customers for their opinions on how effective your
email marketing campaign are and whether or not they were
compelled to make a purchase or not, is an excellent method
to determine how you are progressing. Based on this
information you should have a good indication of whether or
not your email marketing is working.

If it is not effective you should consider making changes
to create more interest in your offers, or perhaps provide
more pure content to gain the trust of your readers. The
changes you make should reflect the feedback you receive
though to ensure you are not making changes which will
cause even less interest from your readers.

How to Remain Focused to Grow Your Profits

Ok. So you’ve made the decision that you want to start an
online business while still working at your full-time job
and maintaining a normal life with your family.

Regardless of what you may have read, doing this is not
easy and at times can be quite frustrating. Let’s face it,
you barely have enough time to meet your daily family
commitments as it is now, so how are you going to do is
while creating an online business?

This is one of the biggest problems that face the beginner
online business owners and with all the other distractions
it’s easy to become overwhelmed and lose focus.

And losing focus is one of the biggest killers of
productive time on the net as it causes you to take little
or no action.

Action is essential to creating a successful online
business. If you fail to pull the trigger and take the
appropriate action at the appropriate time, you will
struggle to make in online.

With this in mind, here are four tips to help you maintain
your focus to allow you the best chance of building a
successful online business:

1. Break it Down

Don’t try to tackle big tasks head on. Doing this will
cause frustration and lead to in-action. It is much easier
to break large tasks down into smaller more manageable
lists. If you do this you’ll find it easier to keep your
focus and you’ll increase your confidence with each task
you complete.

2. Keep a ‘To Do’ List

Once you’ve broken down major tasks into smaller pieces,
develop a ‘to do’ list - and stick rigidly to it. Make it a
habit to keep a notepad and pen, or a portable recorder
with you so that you can jot down or record any new ideas
as you think of them.

Everywhere I go I always take a recorder with me. You
would be surprised how often you think of ideas while your
driving or sitting on the train going to work. If you don’t
record them straight away you’ll forget about them later.

3. Schedule Your Time Wisely

As an online business owner you need to be tough on
yourself. Every night before you go to bed make it a task
to place four or five tasks on your ‘to do’ list that you
wish to accomplish the following day. Place them in order
of importance and then do the most important first.

Stay focused on these tasks and only move on to the next
tasks on your list once these have been completed. Don’t
fall for the trap of getting distracted with other less
important tasks that don’t help you achieve your goal. This
is very easy to do, so you need to keep asking yourself, is
this helping me to achieve my daily goal?

Naturally if something urgent arises you can do this next,
but try to complete each task on your list each day.

And if for some reason you don’t complete all your tasks,
add the ones you didn’t complete on top of your list for
the next day as a high priority.

4. Set achievable goals

There is nothing better for staying focused than setting
realistic goals that are achievable. If you visualize in
your mind exactly where you want to be in the short-term
you add emotion to your goals and they become much more
achievable.

Remember, as it the first tip, break your long-term goals
into smaller tasks so that you achieve each task in baby
steps with the view of reaching your long-term goals.

For example - if you goal is to make $100,000 a year,
break this down into a target of $1923.00 per week, which
seems much more achievable. Then develop a step-by-step
plan that will allow you to reach your weekly goal on a
regular basis.

If you put these four tips into practice you’ll find it
much easier to remain focused on your tasks, which in turn
will help you to achieve your ultimate goal - whatever that
is.

Effective Marketing Strategies
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Tracking Your Results Can Explode Bottom Line

As with any marketing campaign, it is important to track
the results of your Internet marketing campaign
. This
should be done on a continual basis so you can ensure the
strategies you are utilizing are working.

It can also help you to determine when a strategy is not
working so you do not continue to invest time and money on
a strategy which is not beneficial to your business.

With this in mind, today we will discuss some of the
options for tracking the results of your Internet marketing
campaign.

Business owners who use banner ads have a simple way to
track whether or not their banner ads are effective. This
is possible because they can place code in the banner ad
which will supply them with feedback each time a user
clicks on the banner ad.

This information is transmitted to the business owner so
he can evaluate which of his banner ads are generating the
most interest. If the business owner is currently using two
different styles of banner ads on comparable websites he
can use this information to determine which design is most
effective.

This is important because if one style is significantly
more effective than the other it might be worthwhile to
convert all of the banner ads to this style or to make
changes which will make the two different styles more
similar.

If the business owner is using the same banner ad on a
number of different websites, the feedback can help him
determine which websites are generating the most traffic
for him.

If he determines some websites are not generating a great
deal of traffic it makes sense to discontinue the banner
ads on these websites as they are not cost effective.

Business owners who utilize affiliate marketing during
their Internet marketing campaign may also be interested in
tracking the results of their affiliates. This is necessary
because affiliates are often paid according to the results
they generate but it is also useful for determining which
affiliates are most successful.

This information can be useful if different ads are
running on different affiliate websites as it can be an
indication of which websites are most effective.

To this end, tracking the results of affiliate marketing
is similar to tracking the results of banner ads. You can
place code in the ads which appear on the affiliate’s
website to provide you with feedback each time a user
clicks on the ad.

Another way to evaluate the results of an Internet
marketing campaign is to simply closely monitor your own
website traffic and sales. This is especially important
when it is done in conjunction with the type of marketing
you are currently running.

For example if you launch a new banner ad campaign with
ads appearing on numerous high profile websites
concurrently, you may notice an almost immediate increase
in website traffic and sales. This information most likely
indicates the banner ads are successful.

However, the problem with using this type of evaluation is
it does not pinpoint successes or failures. If you launch
your banner ad on five different websites at once you may
notice an immediate increase in traffic and sales, but will
not be aware which websites are the most effective.

For example, your advertisement may be running on five
different websites but only one of these websites may be
attracting attention for your business and unless you track
your ads you won’t know which one is working.

Similarly if you are running several different styles of
ads, some styles may attract more attention than others but
you will not be able to differentiate simply by evaluating
your website traffic and sales. The other four ads may only
be generating minimal interest in your products or services.

If you wish to use this method for evaluating the feedback
on your Internet marketing efforts, it is worthwhile to
only make one change at a time so you can more accurately
determine what is working and what is not.

Alternatively you can ask customers to fill out a survey
stating where they saw your advertisement so you can
solicit feedback on your marketing efforts.

Automate and optimize your tracking with the appropriate
ad tracking tools.

How You Can benefit From The Holiday Madness

Have you ever noticed that following most public holidays,
there’s a surge in online spending? People tend to go into
a buying frenzy and start throwing money around like it’s
growing on trees.

Now I’m not going to go into the metrics or psychology as
to why this happens. As an Internet marketer all you need
to know is that it DOES happen. Once you know this, you can
then put into place a plan to benefit from this

So how do you do this?

It really is that simple you’ll be kicking yourself if you
haven’t done it before.

All you need to do is send out an email update to your
list offering a special “limited discount” on your product
to generate a nice little surge of orders.

For example, you could offer a special subscribers only
30% discount for the next 24 hours as a way of thanking
your readers for being loyal. Or offer half price for the
next 12 orders.

If you don’t have your own product you could offer a pile
of bonuses for the first 12 orders, or even negotiate a
deal with a product owner to provide a one-off discount.

Another option is that if you have PLR to a product,
contact the creator and ask if you can offer a special deal.

This is a proven strategy that has worked many times in
the past and it will continue to work in the future.

The secret is to hit your market at the right time - and
the right time is always when your visitors are in a buying
mood.

Cutting the Deadwood for Greater Profits

It’s true. For most people this Internet stuff is not easy. I’ve
seen many new marketers come and go. So yes, it’s not for
everyone.

But if you have a burning desire to succeed, are committed
and implement all the things you have learned, you CAN make
it.

The trick is to find your routine - and then repeat it each
day!

Naturally you will learn new tactics and strategies along
the way to improve your skills, but as long as you continue
to implement what you learn you will have a much higher
chance of being successful that someone who does nothing.

You see, most people overcomplicate marketing by over
analyzing every single aspect of a business to try to
develop the perfect system. All this does is create more
confusion, which leads to frustration and a hole in your
hip pocket.

All you need to understand is that when all is said and
done, online marketing is purely a numbers game.

For example - if you have a half decent conversion rate,
you know that for every 50 people that land on your site
you will eventually make at least one sale, ie a 2%
conversion rate.

With that said, all you have to do is concentrate on getting
people to your site AND as long as you have a good sales
process, the rest will take care of itself.

Concentrate on getting people through the door (your
site). Concentrate on setting up campaigns - testing them -
nurturing the winners and letting the losers go. It’s a
continue cycle, so don’t let up.

It’s not for everyone, but if you’ve made it this far you’ve
already done better than 95% of the people that have quit.
You’ve taken action, you’ve tried, and you’ve worked at
getting to where you are, which is way better than most
who quit before they even get started.

If you find yourself getting discouraged - don’t. We’ve
all been there with dreams of success only to see them
turn into failures. It’s all part of the “game”. Just keep
on keeping on.

Some will find success quickly. Many won’t. We all have
different experiences depending on our financial situations
and backgrounds.

If you aren’t having success in a particular market, there
are tons of other markets you can try. In the beginning I
would suggest you keep away from the Internet marketing
niche and try markets with less competition.

It’s not impossible to make money in the bigger markets
like Internet marketing, mortgage, insurance or whatever,
but it’s MORE difficult and should be something you tackle
as you gain experience.

There is so much you can do and generating good profits is
VERY achievable with a long term sustained effort.

Just remember that even successful marketers are in a
constant state of failure. The difference is they don’t
give up. They let the winners run and cut the losers.

It’s kind of like growing a rose plant. You water it and
watch it grow, but periodically you prune it by cutting off
some of the dead wood so that new buds can emerge.

The amazing thing is that these new buds turn out to
produce beautiful flowers. And if you treat your online
business exactly the same you can cultivate a very generous
online income.

Effective Marketing Strategies
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Creating a Highly Profitable Sales Funnel

There’s no question about it. Being able to drive traffic
to your website is one of the most valuable skills you will
learn as an Internet marketer. And the more targeted your
visitors, the more likely it is they will be interested in
your offer.

However, getting visitors to your site is just one piece
of the marketing puzzle.

Next comes the hard part - convincing your visitors to
take your desired action by converting them to subscribers
or customers.

And the startling fact is that you only have about 8
seconds to do this before they become bored and leave your
site. Read this again…

Once they land on your site, you only have a few seconds
to grab their interest before you lose them - possibly
forever!

So in order to maximize your profits you must have plan in
place to increase your visitor value by converting them to
customers.

The way you achieve this is to develop what is known as a
highly optimized “sales funnel”.

Targeted traffic + a Highly Optimized Sales Funnel =
Increased Profits.

the most successful method of doing this is to develop a
‘funnel’ that guides your visitors through a multi-step
sales process.

This of course should be a 2-way street where not only are
you focused on maximizing your own profits, you are also
ensuring that you provide your visitors with quality
information that satisfies their needs.

As they say, a happy customer is a repeat customer.

What I have personally found is that if you place your
highest priority on helping your visitors first and
foremost, then as if by default they will help you in
return.

But of course this is not unique. It’s a strategy that has
proven to work across a broad range of markets, businesses
and industries.

And you don’t need to re-invent the wheel to make this work.
You simply need to find an existing business model that is
already working in your niche, and then repeat these steps
in your own business.

So the first step is to find a successful person in your
niche, someone who is considered an authority on your
topic. Then you need to signup to their list and study
their entire sales process.

Some of the steps you need to study include:

- what type of media do they provide on their site
- where they send you after signing up
- do they offer an upsell
- what type of information do they provide in their emails
- how often do they send you updates
- do they promote backend products
etc, etc,etc.

When you’ve got a good understanding of these principles,
it’s a simple matter of applying them to your own business.
Then test and tweak this process to ensure you maximize
your returns.

It really is that simple!
